Klitschko Win Will Take Me Towards Greatness - Joshua Speaks on the Richest Fight in British Boxing History

Joshua & Klitschko

IBF heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua believes he will take "another step towards greatness" when he meets Wladimir Klitschko in the richest bout in British boxing history.

Joshua, 27, will defend his title and bid for the vacant WBA strap in front of a post-war record boxing crowd of 90,000 at Wembley Stadium in just his 19th professional fight.

Klitschko, 41, was unbeaten in 11 years prior to defeat to Tyson Fury in his last fight in November 2015 and says he is "obsessed" with overcoming the Briton.

"I will always stand up to the competition," said Joshua. "There is no fear at all which trembles through the body." "You can talk about experience but even when I faced guys with less experience I took them as world championship fights. I have prepared since day one for this. April 29 is just another stepping stone towards greatness."

A global night for the history books

The £30m showdown between the former sparring partners has been dubbed a fight for "the history books" by Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn.

It will be expected to sell roughly a million times on pay-per-view television in the UK, is being broadcast in Germany and has achieved a rare feat in the US market as rival broadcasters Showtime and HBO will both transmit the bout.

"Only twice before have they done it - Lennox Lewis versus Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao," said Hearn.

Klitschko has already fought in the US a dozen times but Joshua, who looks destined to follow the likes of Lewis into US-based super bouts, is yet to fight professionally outside of the UK.

"He has the ultimate test," added Hearn. "A test which should come maybe after 27 or 28 fights. Why risk it now? He wants to challenge himself. Is he the guy everyone talks about as the future of boxing?"

The numbers and an experience gap

Joshua's procession to a world title - captured in just 34 career rounds when he floored American Charles Martin in 2016 - has led to him being installed as odds-on-favourite against Klitschko with bookmakers.

He has contested just 44 rounds as a professional, a tally surpassed by Klitschko in his last five fights alone, with the 41-year-old Ukrainian hardened by 358 rounds as a pro, spanning 68 fights, 64 wins and more than 20 years.

Indeed, London 2012 gold medallist Joshua was only six when Klitschko topped the podium at the 1996 Atlanta Games. In the pro game, he has felt the heat of a world title fight three times, this will be Klitschko's 29th.

With both men similar in stature, the gap in age and experience has been central to much of the pre-fight debate. Joshua's trainer Rob McCracken said: "As good as Klitschko has been, Father Time is a terrible person when he shows up and I think he already has.

"It is going to be tough for Wladimir, he doesn't know himself if it's still there or not. He's against a ferocious opponent on Saturday night, that's for sure."

But what if? 'The fight of his life'

Klitschko can be destructive too. His tally of 53 knockouts surpasses the great Joe Louis by one and the wrecking ball that was Mike Tyson by nine. In 2013, he dropped the respected Alexander Povetkin four times. The Russian had never lost and has not done so since.

Klitschko is adamant his career will not fade after defeat to Fury and he has come back from torment before after losing world title fights to the likes of Corrie Sanders in 2003 and Lamon Brewster a year later.

"Nobody is perfect," Klitschko's brother Vitali told BBC Radio 5 live. "Everyone has strong sides and weak sides. Wladimir's weak side is his concentration. "That cost him the title against Fury. I've never seen him focused like this. If he is concentrating 100%, Joshua does not have a chance. Wladimir understands this is the fight of his life."

Christ Embassy Pastor Roped in Stinking S*x Scandal with Married Woman

Mrs Brenda Nwanguma and Kaycee Kanu

A mother of three, Mrs. Brenda Nwanguma, has accused a pastor of Christ Embassy Church, Kaycee Kenechukwu Kanu Aka Kaycee, of s*xually harassing and victimising her.

Ironically, Brenda and Kaycee are both members of Christ Embassy Church. But the drama between them is playing out at Inner City Mission for Children (ICM4C), a Non-Governmental Organisation, owned by the church and located at Oregun area of Lagos.

Indeed, every worker at ICM4C is believed to a member of Christ Embassy. While Brenda accused Kaycee, a father of two, of sexual harassment, Kaycee countered by calling her a, “loose woman who has slept with at least two to three men here. Her husband doesn’t know her. He should go and put his house in order. There’re certain things I shouldn’t say.”

The drama has accusations and counteraccusations.

Brenda said she was told by a mutual friend, Pastor Charles Osakwe, that Kaycee had a penchant for s*xually harassing and even succeeding in sleeping with women in the organisation. When Brenda heard that Kaycee described her as a loose woman, she revealed more secrets.

She said: “If Pastor Kaycee said I’m loose and had had s*x with three men, I dare him to mention their names. If I’m a loose woman, why did the organisation allow me to keep working in the Christian environment?

"Kaycee’s Personal Assistant (PA), has been caught several times being romanced in the office by Kaycee. Kaycee has a secret pet name for his PA; he calls her Pawpaw. “A member of staff at ICM4C told me that Kaycee once impregnated a teacher in the school. "He got her to resign and moved her to the East just to cover his deeds. The lady had a baby boy for him. In fact, it happened before I started working there. This has been his lifestyle.”

Trouble in the serene ICM4C paradise was said to have started after Brenda, who works at the school section, started having health challenges, leading to migraine. According to her, she was advised on medical grounds to stop working with the school section.

Brenda also wasn’t getting along with her immediate superior, Sister Vanessa Nosegbe, who recommended her for the job at ICM4C. Brenda said the woman told her that she didn’t like her and made life a hell for her. Brenda asked for transfer. But according to her, issues that have to do with transfer are usually handled by Kaycee.

She explained that after she was transferred, Kaycee came to her and demand payment of N500,000 for influencing her transfer.

According to her, the cleric told her that if she didn’t have the money, she should meet him at a hotel in Ikeja for a s*x romp. She refused to play ball. Brenda said she was transferred four times within a month, until she was sent back to the section where doctors warned her against.

She said Kaycee sent her back as a punishment for refusing his s*xual advances. Brenda said she wrote a letter of complaint to Director of ICM4C, Pastor Omoh, tabling her predicament and Kaycee’s s*xual harassment. She called for investigation, but nothing was allegedly done.

She also wrote another letter of complaint to Pastor Ifeoma Chiemeka, Head of Administration for all Christ Embassy Staff. Mum was still the word. Brenda felt there was a conspiracy against her and everyone was working hard to cover the sexual harassment allegation.

She alleged that she had been sitting home since February, without being paid salary, while waiting to hear the outcome of the investigation. Brenda said that she had been carrying her husband along in s*x the demand drama.

In fact, it was her husband, a popular human rights activist, Mr. Okechukwu Nwanguma, who told her to play along and act as if she was interested in having s*x with him. She said Kaycee on a particular fateful day waited for her in a hotel until it dawned on him that she wasn’t coming.

Even when Kaycee paid N25,000 into Brenda’s account, it was Okechukwu that told her to play along and ask for the money. The couple said they were gathering evidences against Kaycee. Okechukwu said he had witnessed occasions whereby Pastor Charles called Brenda on phone and unaware that the phone was on speaker, begged her to take things easy with Kaycee, because he had penchant for s*xually harassing women and having s*x with those that are gullible.

Okechukwu added: “Kaycee asked my wife to meet him at a hotel in Ikeja and kept pressuring her. I knew about this and asked Brenda to play along. I was on my way back to Lagos from Abuja. I had hoped I could get in on time so that I would ask my wife to go and meet him in the hotel room. I was planning to storm the hotel with some police officers because adultery is a crime under the law apart from being a sin unbecoming of a pastor.”

The activist added he wanted the founder of Christ Embassy to hear of the scandal.

He said: “Aside from my wife’s case, my inquiry reveals that Kaycee is notorious for the misconduct of harassing women – single and married. And these are covered up. Despite several written complaints I got my wife to send to Omoh as the director of Inner City Mission, I was shocked she didn’t respond.

I was convinced about the conspiracy to cover up this heinous act. I asked my wife to take further steps to complain to Pastor Ifeoma, who is the next superior authority beyond Pastor Omoh. Yet, we got not even an acknowledgement.”

When a New Telegraph correspondent got to ICM4C on Wednesday, she met Pastor Charles, Pastor Kaycee and Kaycee’s PA.

Charles and Kaycee’s PA said Brenda was being economical with the truth. This was even as they explained that the director, Omoh, was not available for questions. Omoh was in South Africa for a Christian event, to return next week. Attempts to get her on her mobile line by our correspondent failed. The number was unavailable.

According to Charles, Brenda started screaming s*xual harassment after she asked for a transfer and was not given. Charles, who said he was a close buddy of Brenda, said that the woman was trying to fight the system and had drawn the battle line and that the organisation wouldn’t hesitate to fight back.

Further reacting to the allegation, Kaycee said, he strongly felt that Brenda was conniving with two other people in the organisation to bring him down.

According to him, he didn’t know how or in what way he had offended Brenda. He vehemently denied ever asking her for sex or money for influencing her transfer. Kaycee said Brenda was the first person accusing him of s*xual harassment.

He said: “She might feel her complaint had not been looked into, but it has. The mistake she made was in thinking that I have the power to transfer anyone, I don’t! Transfers come from the director. Mine is to obey and carry out the instructions. She was working in the school, she complained about her boss; she said the woman was victimising her.

When the woman was asked, the woman said Brenda was always making up her face in front of the children, which wasn’t right.

“When she complained of having migraine because of the children she was handling, she was transferred to Partnership Department. When her appraisal came, she failed. The head of partnership also complained that Brenda spends too much time making up her face and doing ‘madam.’

Brenda was not pulling her weight. She was moved to Media Achieving and she liked the place. But it was below her educational status; anybody, even without education, could work there.

“I don’t know what her husband thinks he is fighting for, but he just doesn’t know his wife. He should put his house in order. No one is harassing his wife s*xually. It’s a case of his wife having affairs with several men.”

Asked if he paid N25,000 into Brenda’s account, Kaycee said: “I have given Brenda money several times. She is not the only one I have given IOU (I Owe You) in this organisation. She would beg me to borrow her money, but she wouldn’t pay back.

She said I asked her for N500,000, but what do I need money for? I have money! You may ask anybody.” Told that Brenda has WhatsApp chat where he was asking her to meet him in a hotel, Kaycee said: “It wasn’t me! It may be someone else. My phone was recently hacked. Whatever messages she might have received couldn’t have come from me.”

Nosegbe, Brenda’s former boss at the school, said: “I don’t have any problem with Brenda. In fact, I haven’t seen her for some days and had been asking after her. How can she say that I didn’t like her?”

Confusion as Nnamdi Kanu Rejects Bail, Vows to Die With Co-detainees... See Details

Nnamdi Kanu Mazi

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has rejected the bail granted to him on Tuesday.

According to Daily Post, a source close to him revealed that Kanu had vowed to remain in Kuje prisons with his co-accused persons.

The Biafra agitator was granted bail on health grounds by Justice Binta Nyako. ‎However, bail was refused his co-accused persons – Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

The top source, who put a call across to Daily Post, said: ‎”I just finished speaking with Kanu. He has vowed to remain at Kuje prisons pending when his co-accused persons are granted bail. “He made it clear that these other three persons were arrested because of him (Nnamdi) and as such he can’t abandon them there.

“Nnamdi Kanu has, therefore, made it clear that he is ready to stay and die at Kuje Prisons.”

Meanwhile, IPOB has reacted to the bail conditions, describing them as childish. In a statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Comrade Emma Powerful, he said the bail conditions were designed by politicians.

The statement reads:‎ “The indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB and it’s leadership worldwide commend those who put pressure on Nigerian Government and her judiciary to release our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in detention illegally since October 2015.

“The bail conditions which are most probably designed by politicians who are afraid of our leader’s popularity is too inhuman, childish and stringent. “The oppressors are afraid of leader’s popularity and they hope to cage him through this funny bail condition, we are not excited, we demand the release of our members detained alongside him.

“It is unacceptable to the entire members of IPOB worldwide that the presiding judge Hon. Justice Binta Nyako attached condition towards the release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“The Federal Government and their judiciary through justice Binta Nyako banned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu not to grant press interview, not to sit with more than 10 people or have any gathering. “However, granting conditional release to our is unacceptable to us because he committed any crime against humanity or Nigerian state, we wondered why Binta Nyako would prefer to attach conditions to release him.

“Again, justice Binta Nyako refused to grant Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi bail who has been detained with our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu since almost two years.

“We also thank the civilise Nations in United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, American Government, Israeli Government, Russian Government, European Union and others who prevail upon the Nigerian Government and her judiciary to grant our leader bail.

“We also want them to pressure on Nigerian Government and her judiciary to release other three members who are still in Kuje prison Abuja.”

In terms of pace, Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué recorded a high speed of 33.33km/h. The highest of anyone on the pitch.

Real Madrid pair Marco Asensio (33.22km/h) and Cristiano Ronaldo (33.14km/h) lagged behind Pique in the speed rankings.

In terms of who ran furthest during the game, Marca reveal that Barcelona ran seven kilometres more than opponents Real Madrid, with full-back Sergi Roberto covering 12km – a record high.

Jordi Alba and teammate Ivan Rakitic both covered 11km. Interesting statistics indeed.

Who’d have thought Pique would be faster than the likes of Ronaldo and Asensio?

Robbery of the Century' in Paraguay as Brazilian Bandits Stage Brazen $40 Million Heist (Photos)

About 60 armed men attacked the headquarters of security company, Prosegur in the Paraguayan town of Ciudad del Este close to the Brazilian border. They used explosives and high-powered rifles to break into the building and, afterwards, to make their escape.

The Prosegur vault can hold up to $40 million in cash, but it is not yet clear how much of that the gang made away with.

Violent Assault

Local people spoke of their terror during the robbery. One, Alejandro Anisim, said: “In a moment we heard non-stop banging for an hour, during that time there were five grenades, the five were here in the house and we hid up top in my daughter’s room, they are not here.

I called the police and they told me not to come out, that they (robbers) are inside and we heard shouting in Portuguese in the street. I don’t know what they said and then they ran to a parked vehicle on the corner and got in.”

The thieves left a trail of destruction as they escaped.

Video footage shows the complete destruction of the company’s HQ, as well as damage to several neighbouring homes.

Cars were set alight as the criminals fled, and a policeman is said to have died. Official Response Officials have dubbed what happened as “the robbery of the century”.

Antonio Gamarra, a retired Police Commissioner said: “This [robbery] is the largest yet and given the [explosive] devices, the number of vehicles used, the number of people and weapons, it is the biggest one.”

A rifle seized in the city of Sao Miguel do Iguacu, Brazil following the heist

There has been no suggestion that Prosegur was at fault.

Marcelo Saldivar, the Prosecutor, said: “Clearly this attack had been planned but in theory the company and the protocols were in order.”

Brazilian link?

Witnesses have said that the attackers spoke Brazilian, leading to reports that they were members of a gang from just over the notoriously porous border.

Police from both countries are reported to have coordinated efforts in an attempt to apprehend those responsible. Vehicles and weapons have been seized and there have been some reports of exchanged gunfire.
