A very bizarre occurrence took place in a community in Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, 5th of September involving one, Linus Ibok who tried to rape the wife of his best friend named Mrs Iniabasi Okon while the man was away.


Ibok innocently saw off his friend who happens to be a petty trader to the car park when he boarded a vehicle to Aba, Abia state for the purpose of purchasing some goods for sale.

Ibok innocently saw off his friend who happens to be a petty trader to the car park when he boarded a vehicle to Aba, Abia state for the purpose of purchasing some goods for sale.

According to the report, Ibok then trailed his wife to the farm where she was working. Iniabasi was not surprised when Ibok came to meet her in the farm, thinking he wanted to help her as he was almost like a member of the family.

She was however, shocked when Ibok started confessing undying love for her. When she told him in plain terms to leave the farm or she would report him to her husband, Ibok ran out of patience and attempted to rape her.

The woman who ran out of options pulled out her cutlass and chopped off his manhood. After that, she ran to the village and inform other villagers who rushed to the farm to meet Ibok in a pool of his blood with his sliced manhood.

He was rushed to an hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

The leadership of the village are waiting for his full recovery before prosecuting him for his action.

Salongo Kawuki Bwogere abandoned his wife, 35-year-old Faridah Nantumbwe and his children after she gave birth to the fourth albino child two years ago. Her told his wife that in their clan they did not produce albinos, whom he described as a curse.

Senator Hassan Barata was arrested by Saudi Arabian authorities after he was found travelling with a revoked diplomatic passport and claiming to be an employee of the Nigerian Embassy. Barata was a former chairman of the Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism. He represented the Adamawa South Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015 as a PDP lawmaker. Police in South Carolina, USA, are investigating a house that functioned as an 'illegal' nursery after a photo showing a 15-year-old toes inside a seven-month-old's mouth surfaced on social media.

The police and Department of Social Services are looking into the home that was operating as childcare service. Police did not say whether the teen was working at the house or was related to the owners of the home but they added that she is not related to the child.

They also noted that the 15-year-old isn't facing any charges.

"Somebody should be apologising, and there should be something done about it," Bridgette Dawkins, a friend of the baby's mother told ABC 13. "It don't need to be pushed under the rug; she needs to be punished." she added.

A 3-week old baby, three children, their parents and their grand mother were all burnt to death yesterday in a fire outbreak that broke out at their home located at Micheal Ogun street in the Lawanson area of Lagos state.
