Lewis Hamilton makes history as he wins 4th Formula One world title

Lewis Hamilton has been crowned Formula One world champion for a fourth time.

Hamilton won the title today despite finishing the Mexican Grand Prix in ninth place as Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took the race victory. Only two drivers have achieved more –- seven-time champion Michael Schumacher and five-time champion Argentine Juan Manuel Fangio .


Hamilton joins Michael Schumacher (seven), Juan Manuel Fangio (five), Alain Prost and Vettel (both four) as only the fifth driver to have won more than three titles.Hamilton is the only black driver to have won a grand prix and a championship.

West Ham staged a remarkable second-half comeback to come from two goals down to beat London rivals Tottenham and reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has been under pressure following their Premier League drubbing at Brighton on Friday, but will surely be enthused by the reaction to their abject first-half showing against Spurs.


Striker Andre Ayew netted twice from close range and Angelo Ogbonna nodded in the third from a corner to complete a stunning turnaround. They had got off to the worst possible start at Wembley, conceding after just five minutes as a high defensive line was exploited by Son Heung-min’s pass through to Moussa Sissoko to stroke home.

Dele Alli had a close-range header tipped away by goalkeeper Adrian, but the Tottenham midfielder curled in a deflected second before half-time from the edge of the box following neat build-up play by Son.

Spurs could have taken the tie to extra time, but Alli’s thumping volley and Sissoko’s curled effort were both kept out by Adrian.

The draw for the next round takes place live on Twitter at 16:00 BST on Thursday.

Eighteen-year-old Eddie Nketiah scored twice as Arsenal came from behind to beat Norwich City 2-1 and book their spot in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

Nketiah, who made his debut for the Gunners against BATE Borisov earlier this season, was introduced in the 85th minute at the Emirates Stadium with his side trailing to Josh Murphy’s cool first-half finish.


The youngster made an immediate impact, equalising with almost his first touch to send the game into extra time.

He then ensured the headlines would be his in the 96th minute with a superb header from Mohamed Elneny’s corner to secure Arsene Wenger’s side’s place in the next round.

Premier League Side Everton Appoint This Former Star Player As Manager After Sacking Of Ronald Koeman

English Premier League side, Everton have announced that David Unsworth will take up a temporary role in charge of the first-team beginning with Wednesday’s EFL Cup tie at Chelsea following Ronald Koeman’s sacking. 

Koeman was dismissed on Monday in the wake of Sunday’s 5-2 hammering by Arsenal, leaving Everton in the relegation zone despite spending a reported £142million in the close-season.


David Unsworth will take charge as from tomorrow.

Everton have won just two of their first nine league matches, while they also sit bottom of their Europa League group.

Unsworth, who is in charge of Everton’s Under-23s, played the best part of 11 years at Goodison Park across two spells and has been linked to the club in a coaching capacity since 2013.

He will likely be hoping to stake his claim for taking the role permanently, but Burnley manager, Sean Dyche is considered the favourite.

Real Madrid Star Gareth Bale’s Agent Says Talk Of Move To Manchester United Is ‘Stupid’

Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has rubbished talk of a potential move away from Real Madrid this summer.

Reports have suggested that Bale could be sold to Manchester United this summer, with the European champions chasing Monaco youngster, Kylian Mbappe.

However, Barnett insists that there is no truth in the speculation.


“It’s a ridiculous, stupid story,” he told BBC Sport.

Bale has been coveted by United for years, with the club first trying to sign the Welsh winger in 2007 before he joined Spurs. The Red Devils also failed with a £103million bid to hijack his move to Madrid four years ago.

The Welsh winger signed a new contract in October 2016, which ties him to the Santiago Bernabeu side until 2022.
