5 Indians Who Raped European Tourist Get Life Prison Sentence (Photo)

Three of the five convicts in the gang rape of a 51-year-old Danish tourist in 2014, are escorted by the police

Five Indians who raped a Danish tourist after she asked for directions in New Delhi were sentenced to life in prison Friday for the attack two years ago that highlighted the plague of sexual violence in the country.

Judge Ramesh Kumar said the convicts, aged 23 to 30, were guilty of gang rape, kidnapping, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation. Dinesh Sharma, the attorney for the defendants, sought leniency, saying the convicts came from poor backgrounds.

The men had pleaded not guilty and can appeal the verdict.

Police said the 51-year-old woman approached several vagabonds on the night of Jan. 14, 2014, to ask for directions back to her hotel near Connaught Place, a popular shopping area in the capital. Nine attackers took her to a secluded spot, robbed her and raped her repeatedly at knifepoint.

One of the convicts was found with the victim's glasses case and 1,000 rupees ($15) in cash. One of the accused men died during trial in February. Three who were younger than 18 at the time of the attack were handed to the Juvenile Justice Board to remain in custody until they are 18 and reformed.

Violence against women in India has caused increasing alarm since the fatal gang rape of a 23-year-old Indian physiotherapy student in New Delhi in 2012.

Several foreign tourists also have been targeted in attacks that often get international attention, although Indian women are assaulted far more frequently.

Public fury over the 2012 rape case led to more stringent laws that doubled prison terms for rape to 20 years and criminalized voyeurism and stalking. But many women say daily indignities and abuse continue unabated and that the new laws have not made the streets any safer.

What Amodu said about Keshi just few hours to his own death

Without any idea that his death was just few hours away, former coach and technical adviser of the Super Eagles, Amodu Shuaibu had signed the Condolence Register for Keshi. He wrote:

Amodu Shuaibu: "The ‘Big Boss’ [Keshi] you lived a good life, ran a good race. Adieu my brother."

About 24hours later, people are about signing his own condolence register. That is life for you! Amodu was said to have complained of chest pain to his family members on Friday night and, unfortunately, he died in his sleep before the break of dawn on Saturday morning.

May the souls of both national icons find eternal rest. Amen!

Drowned UNILAG Ladies Buried Amidst Tears

But we do not want you to be uninformed brothers about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. Therefore, mourn not, cry not, grieve not; but rather give thanks to God for the life lived,” these were the soothing words of Pastor Biodun Alimi, the officiating minister during the funeral for Adesola Olubola Ogunmefun and Funmilayo Odusina, the two students of the University of Lagos who drowned at the Elegushi beach earlier this week.

Despite the advice from the man of God, family members and friends of the two young women could not hold back their tears, as they wept bitterly while paying their last respect.

Their remains were retrieved from the Lagos General Hospital, Marina, Lagos and moved to the Private Vaults Garden, a section of the Ikoyi Cemetry in Lagos. It was a solemn environment as deafening silence enveloped the entire area. And the people, all wearing mournful faces, started arriving in groups of two and more as the mourners found their way to the already set grave.

According to The Nation, as the lone voice of the officiating minister boomed out, it reverberated far and struck an emotional button in the families of the deceased, as they broke down in tears.

At exactly 12pm, the remains of the two were simultaneously committed to mother earth with their graves not far apart from each other. Their friends, all wearing yellow T-shirts that had the pictures of Adesola and Funmi boldly plastered on it, wore long faces as they tried to cope with their loss.

The deceased were nevertheless showered with numerous encomiums and tribute as their lives and times were recounted. According to Sunmibola Ogunmefun: Shola, my consolation is 1 Thessalonica, verse 13 and 18. Very simplistic, you have never been the kind to take things too seriously and your smile is always from ear…(I use ‘is’ because I know you are still smiling). Keeping malice with you was futile; you would always find way to break the ice and even now you won’t let me be angry at you. I guess you would have to scrub the gas cooker myself now, you promised you were going to do it this week.’

‘You are in the right place, not a single house chore; all you have got to do is sing your heart out, chill in your mansion, enjoy the feel of gold under you feet and keep smiling Shokuro (my talkative sister); I know you don’t understand why we are sad, I can imagine you staring at us as though we were are silly,’ she said.

Shortly before their remains were interred, families, colleagues and friends of Adesola Olubola Ogunmefun and Funmilayo Odusina mustered strengths to pay tributes to the two. In her brief tribute, Adesola’s younger sister, nsaid: ‘Adesolami, I really don’t know what to say. Can I ever survive without you? I miss you; miss the fact that no one will be beating my breast. RIP baby.

Aikulola Olu, a friend, said: “I kept hoping I would wake up on Tuesday morning and find out was just like a very bad dream. You would be back to hounding me on my personal life as usual. Unfortunately, this seems to be the reality. I choose to believe God has a reason. I most definitely won’t forget you and I will try to loosen up and live life to the fullest like you advised me constantly.”

Another friend, Lanre Akinwale, said he found it incomprehensible to admit the reality of their death, saying, “each time I have to contend with the reality of your death, what comes to my mind is your smile. When we met at a ceremony in Ikeja on Saturday, 4th of June, you were full of joy, happiness and enthusiasm. We dined and danced together. While you were leaving the venue in the company of a senior colleague, you waved your hand; I thought you meant to say bye, but I never thought you were actually bidding me farewell.”

Also paying their tribute, members of staff of the Ministry of Education, Ogun State, where she worked as the Personal Assistant to the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, described Adesola as a wonderful intellect of matchless courage.

In a statement, they said: “Adesola Ogunmefun strived hard to make sure that all our Model Schools are on point; she didn’t relent in her effort until she lost her life. She was extremely dedicated to her duty and was loyal to her Principal. We will miss your perpetual smile, the winkle in your dark brown eyes that would be the envy of any man.”

It will be recalled that the Post-Graduate Students of the University of Lagos, Funmi, 24 and Adesola 27 died last Sunday while celebrating the birthday of a friend a Elugushi Beach, Lagos.

While consoling the bereaved families, the officiating minister, who spoke on the transiency of, said the bereaved must be grateful for the fact that the dead knew God before their demise, saying that a life without Jesus was a waste. He said death was an inevitable phenomenon for all and sundry and urged people to make positive impacts on others and leave indelible mark as they go about their daily lives. According to him, though their time on earth was short, they made their marks in the lives family members, friends and colleagues.

TB Joshua's Collapsed Church Crisis: Hotel Owners Cry Out... We Are Losing Money

Hoteliers in Ikotun area of Lagos State are currently bemoaning their loss due to low occupancy rate in most of the hotels. According the hoteliers, since the Synagogue Church of All Nations accident and the consequent disagreement with the Lagos government, the hotels have lost over N3.9billion revenue.

Speaking to journalists, hoteliers under the aegis of Pilgrims Hostels Association of Nigeria, said the total number of bed spaces of different categories for all the hotels in the Ikotun area stands at about 3,500.
Before the accident, the hotels had 100 percent occupancy rate in three days of every week due to the programmes in the church. Sadly, at the moment, the occupancy rates currently fluctuate between 10 per cent and zero all week long.

According to them, what this meant was that in these three days, instead of having their normal 3500 bed spaces sold, they could only boast of 350 rooms occupied.

Speaking further on the issue, one of the hoteliers, Chief Jerry Omoridion said, “We have been crying for a long time and the government does not seem to understand our plights. It is a serious issue for us because our means of sustenance is currently being wiped out. Before the unfortunate incident at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, cumulatively, we have a total of about 3500 hotel bed spaces. I am not adding some of these hotels there were in the process on coming on board but had to stop since the accident.

“The hotels have different categories of rooms, but for you people to understand the enormity of our lost, let me peg the room rates at just N5,000, that is the cheapest room rate in any decent hotel in Ikotun. Before the accident, we were having 100 per cent occupancy rate on at least three days in a week, this may sound unbelievable. You are members of the press, go round and do your investigations. But now, the occupancy rate in these three days is less than 10 per cent. Many of my colleagues have reduced their staff to the barest minimum; some of us are doing the jobs we used to employ and pay workers to do, since we can’t afford to employ now due to bad business climate.

“With a 10 per cent occupancy rate only about 350 rooms are sold by our members every night. Many had zero occupancy severally. What it means is that 3150 empty rooms, at N5,000 minimum per night, we are losing about N15,750000 per night. In a month the lost is put at N189,000000. If the figure is multiplied by 21 months, you have a whooping N3,969,000,000 as lost of revenue. This is just a conservative estimate. Think about the multiplier effect on the economy of the area. You can understand why we are shouting loudly. I am just talking about three days that we were sure of patronage.”

Asked what he was expecting the government to do since the case was already in court, Omorodion cuts in: “Look, this is a tourist destination. No area in Nigeria has a steady inflow of inbound tourists like Ikotun in Lagos. Go and do your research. Let me digress, I want you to go to the airport cab operators find out how this has affected their business.

“We insist that the government should understand that being a destination, all over the world, when there is accident, they should put in machineries to get to the root of the accident, take punitive action where necessarily without portraying the destination as unsafe and also overtly discouraging people from visiting there. Like the stampede in Saudi Arabia on September 24, 2015, more than 2000 pilgrims lost their lives. The country, knowing the importance of religious tourists, took necessary steps and quietly moved ahead. The Synagogue accident happened on September 12, 2014, since then we have been deprived of our livelihood due to the hostile signals from the government.

“As a country, we should be able to learn from those that know better than us. Let us borrow a leaf from other countries and learn how they manage crisis at a tourist destination. They manage in a way that ensures the safety of the lives and properties of tourists without harming the destination. What can of business do they expect us to go into?”

He explained that the figure he gave was just from the hospitality industry, by the time other ancillary business in Ikotun that depend on tourists add up their figures, the lost would be much more than this.

Omorodion called on the government to take a second look at the current impasse as regards the Synagogue Church and create better atmosphere for tourism to grow.

Ikotun, a Lagos suburb, is the host community to the Synagogue Church of All Nations. The community has become a tourist destination to many local and inbound tourists.

Christians come from all over the world to worship at the church with about two million local and inbound tourists visiting annually, before the unfortunate incident.

Man United’s Goal Keeper, De Gea May Have Landed In Trouble For Allegedly Arranging Prostitutes For His Teammates

Text messages, which allegedly show David De Gea trying to arrange a prostitute for five Manchester United teammates, have emerged today. The goalkeeper has denied any wrongdoing after he was reportedly implicated in a police probe into a porn director accused of running a child prostitution ring. Reports said a protected witness in the case against pornographer Ignacio Allende Fernández - better known as 'Torbe' - claimed de Gea set up a date between her, one other girl, and two Spanish Under-21 players in 2012. It has also been claimed that the keeper tried to arrange a prostitute for five Man United players.

However, De Gea has denied any wrongdoing, describing the accusations as 'lies'. Several Spanish media published the messages the prostitute is claiming she exchanged with the shot-stopper. The messages show the unnamed woman, identified as TP3 in police files, refers to an alleged orgy she says de Gea wanted her to take part in with his teammates.

Respected online newspaper, El Confidencial, one of the Spanish media outlets which published the text message exchange, said copies of the screenshots were contained in internal police files. Mid conversation TP3 allegedly asks him whether he wants her to come to Manchester. She said: 'And Manchester? He has mentioned it to me. It's true?'

De Gea is claimed to have said: 'Yes, it's true ha-ha'. She allegedly responded saying 'You're naughty' to which he replied: 'No, I'm doing it for my teammates woman, ha-ha.' Later in the alleged conversation, the protected witness claims de Gea asked if she could 'cope' with five guys. She claims he said: 'Will you be able to cope with all of them?' to which she replied: 'How many are there??' De Gea allegedly said: 'About five with me' and she claims to have said 'of course'. The keeper is then said to have replied: 'I'm not so sure, ha-ha.'

At a Spanish Euro 2016 press conference, de Gea said: 'I'm the first to be surprised by the news. I want to refute these allegations. These are lies and mistruths. 'This gives me more strength to play with the Spanish national team, with the support of my team-mates. The matter remains in the hands of my lawyers. It is all false.

'I am very calm. I want to go out to train and continue doing what I enjoy. 'I have no idea where this has come from. I know that it is false. I just have to keep going. 'I found out in my room. I let me family know of the situation. They are calm because they know me.'

Oh My God! Woman Suspends Herself In The Air With Painful Piercings & Iron Hooks (Photos)

From painful injection needles to small razor blade cuts - have you ever wondered just how much pain your entire body can withstand? Some people are now going to the extreme to discover their pain threshold. According to DailyMail.co.cuk, volunteers in Croatia have been testing their body's pain threshold through an extreme new form of body piercing. On the rooftop of an empty building in Zagreb, Dino Helvida carefully pierces his client Kaitlin's torso, legs and face before putting hooks through her skin.

Once Kaitlin is ready, he suspends her from a metallic frame, leaving her heavily tattooed body dangling horizontally in the air. Helvida, 27, is a professional piercer and body suspension expert from Bosnia Herzegovina, who for the last six years, has been hanging up the bodies of those brave enough to partake in what is an extreme form of body piercing, sometimes for hours.

The process is carefully done, and in this case, Helvida works with his girlfriend Zorana. It involves first piercing the skin with needles, putting through metallic hooks, which are then attached to a thin rope to lift the suspendee off the ground. "You can do one hook or you can do 100. You have different hooks for different positions and different hooks for different body parts. So everything is really calculated and it's safe," Helvida told Reuters.

Devotees say the practice gives them a huge sense of well-being, and Kaitlin did not complain of discomfort once.

I Personally Warned Stephen Keshi that He Needed Prayers - Popular Cleric Opens Up

Primate Elijah Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Spiritual Leader of INRI Spiritual and Evangelical Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos, has reacted to the demise of former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, saying he foresaw his death.

The cleric said he warned late Keshi to seek the face of God after the ‘vision’ he saw of him from God.

According to the Sun, Primate Ayodele said he wrote Keshi a personal letter after the South Africa 2013 Nations Cup campaign to intimate him of the divine revelations he got.

Ayodele said, “I have been in deep pains since I learnt of his death. Keshi was a soccer icon. “He served Nigeria well both as a player and as a coach. I remember writing him a personal letter after the Nations Cup in South Africa and warned him to seek the face of God.

“He needed prayers and I told Nigerians then that Keshi has completed his assignment with the Eagles after the Nations Cup and that Eagles needed another coach to move forward. “I have sent messages to the NFF and I hope they will listen. I have told them the Abuja Glass House needs some spiritual cleansing.

“On the Eagles, I have made it clear that what the Eagles need now is not a foreign coach. This is what God revealed to me. I’m not saying it to attract publicity or for any financial gain. “Let Pinnick Amaju and his board look inwards for a coach.

From what God has revealed to me, an indigenous coach will not only qualify the country for the World Cup, but will take the Eagles far in the competition in Russia. Bringing a foreign coach will be a disaster. “They shouldn’t waste money on a white man. The crisis is not good for our football. If it is not resolved everything will be at a standstill and most of those sponsoring the game will pull out.

“There will be no money in NFF and the country will stop doing well. I just hope the gladiators will seek the face of God and know that the country’s interest and that of our youths should come first,” the cleric stated.

How Evil Father R*ped and Physically Abused His Four Young Daughters for Over 10 years

A heartless father who subjected his four young daughters in a “horror of a home” for over 10 years has been handed a sentence.

According to information provided by Judge Patrick McCartan who sentenced the suspect, said Mayo native Bernard Cunningham, 66, has never shown any remorse for subjecting his children to “unspeakable mental and physical cruelty”.

The evil man was found guilty last April by a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court jury returned on eight charges of indecent and sexual assault committed between 1978 and 1992.

Although he pleaded not guilty, Cunningham of Royston, Kimmage Road West, Dublin had he was found guilty. His victims waived their right to anonymity so their father could be identified.

Giving evidence against his father, the eldest daughter, who was the first and youngest victim, revealed that the serious abuse began in the late 1970s when she was about five years-old. She revealed further that her father was a “very violent man” and a “manipulative, powerful bully”.

In victim impact reports one daughter said she had a monster for a father, adding: “Dad’s mission was to make me as miserable as possible.”

He told the victims: “You never did any wrong.”

The evil pervert has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.

Beautiful Lady with Curves Cries: Men Are Not Coming For Me

Once a lady is above 30 and not married, just know it is time to calm down and think straight. Most men in their 30s hardly want to marry ladies in their 30s and most men in their 40s are already married.

But some can still be lucky.  A lady who is fed up with the reality of her love life, has gone public with her plight. She shared her story about how men no longer consider her. Read her story:

I’m a single woman in my 30’s and my problem is that I cannot find a man and I honestly have no idea why. I’m very attractive and all my friends say I’m a nice person. On social media, some guys gasp at my curvy shape and take time to ask how I can look so fine, but no one ever approaches me in real life.
I’m aware that you can meet a man at any time, not just when you’re out socially, so I never step out of the house looking anything less than perfect. I keep to my figure, dress nicely, well-groomed and, because I was aware I was being too choosy, I’ve tried hard to give men I don’t even fancy a chance.
But now men just don’t seem to find me attractive at all. I don’t get chatted up though I make sure that I look friendly and approachable when I’m out. I’m at my wits’ end and honestly don’t know what else to do.
- What do you guys think a woman in her 30s who's not into runs can do to get a real man to marry?
