OMG: 3 Children Tortured With Fire Over Witchcraft In Calabar

The Child Protection Network and Basic Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI), a Calabar based-non-profit organisation has condemned the torture of three children over allegations of witchcraft.

The trio aged 3, 5 and 13 narrowly escaped death following torture by their grandmother.

DAILY POST report that the grandmother, in collaboration with one Nsikak, interrogated the kids, after which they were given severe fire burns in Akampka Local Government Area of Cross River State.

According to the Executive Director of BRCI, Mr. James Ibor, “The kids told me that they accepted to the charges of witchcraft due to the pains they were subjected to. Their grandmother is currently in Police custody, while Nsikak is at large.

“Basic Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI) does not support the branding of children as witches. We will work with the Police to charge the suspects to court. The Cross River Child’s Right Law, 2009 clearly forbids anyone from branding a child as a witch.

“The opinion of the law is our opinion at BRCI. The kids have been rescued and are currently at our Emergency Center. We are ashamed that the belief in witches and wizards today in our community has diminished our humanity.”

OMGG! Final Year Student Burnt To Death In Fire Incident

A final year student was on Friday killed by a mysterious fire that razed down a students’ hostel at the Federal Government College, Daura in Katsina State.

The Daura Zonal Fire Officer, Malam Isyaku Manir, who confirmed the incident said the fire, which started at 10.15am went on for three hours and reduced the entire structure to ashes.

Manir told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN that, “The corpse of the victim Haruna Rilwan was discovered in the ashes of the destroyed building, adding that he had been buried in Daura.

He said that the cause of the fire had not been ascertained, but disclosed that Rilwan was burnt beyond recognition.

“It was his colleagues that identified him,”

The fire officer said that he had met with the school management to consider measures to be taken to avoid a recurrence.

“I have advised the school to mount fire extinguishers across strategic areas.

“I have also advised the school to ask its workers to ensure that electrical appliances are always disconnected while hostel workers should be more vigilant to stem the smuggling of gas cookers and cooking stove into the school.”

The school principal, Alhaji Abdurrazak Gold who described the incident as “unfortunate”, declined further comments, saying that he was a civil servant barred from granting press interviews.

Also reacting , Alhaji Masaud Danjuma, Chairman of the school’s chapter of the Parents Teachers Association PTA), described the incident as “unfortunate and saddening”.

He said that the association had held an emergency meeting with the school management to determine the cause of the fire and how to avoid a recurrence.

A local trader in transit to sell some food materials at the Sabo area of Ibadan has been involved in an accident, alongside her son.

The duo were on a motorbike around the Alalubosa area when they were hit by a commercial bus. The woman's son and the motorcycle rider popularly called Okada Man died on the spot while the woman survived with serious injuries.

A source revealed to Bclems.com.ng that the woman who was in a state of coma was swiftly rushed to the hospital by the first responders.

The gory incident which took place at 6:00pm caused a traffic jam on the busy road with a large scene of sympathizers. The accident scene was littered with fresh human blood and the wares belonging to the woman currently hospitalized.

The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained but an eye witness confirmed that the Okada man is of northern extraction.

Mom Uses Her Dead Son’s Sperm To Get Herself A Set Of Twins (Photos)

A grieving mum who wanted to be artificially inseminated with her dead son’s sperm now has twins after being told by doctors she needed a surrogate to complete her dream of “reincarnating” her child.

Rajashree Patil, 49, was informed by doctors that she was unfit for IVF treatment using a sample taken from her son Prathamesh, who died of a deadly tumour.

She had wanted to conceive the children herself by being the surrogate mother but doctors said she was medically unfit as she had already begun her menopause, the Daily Mail reports.

Instead, his semen was used to fertilise an egg which was given by an anonymous donor, who was not related to the family, before being implanted into a close relative.

The surrogate, 35, has now given birth to twins and Rajashree says she will raise the little boy and girl, who are technically her grandchildren, as though they are her own.

She called the boy Prathamesh while she named the little girl after her daughter Prisha, who will help her raise the babies.

It was gathered that the housewife, a native of the Ashama community in Aniocha North local government area of Delta state, had been married for the past six years and has two children.

Sources said the woman’s husband had, for long been cautioning her against some male customers who hide behind patronising her shop for some dubious intents. He also threatened to expose any illicit affairs she might indulge in using fetish charms.

Investigation revealed that, rather than heed her husband’s caution, the woman called his bluff to the extent of even, as alleged, inviting her s*xual patrons to her matrimonial bed whenever her husband went to work at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Asaba.

Those in the know said that one of her patrons,now late, was the son of a prominent newspaper distributor. He was also said to be a retired banker and well-known elder of Umuagu community.

The young man, who was buried recently in a dawn ceremony, was said to have allegedly enticed the housewife with huge sums of money. He was noted as a regular visitor to the woman for patronage of sorts before the bubble burst.

The husband, now fed up with the antics of his wife and her customers, gave teeth to his earlier numerous threats and took her to the shrine. At the shrine, she, in an open confession, said: “I have s*x with 18 men in Asaba, and they gave me N1.5 million altogether, I got so much in love with them because they hit me very hard s*xually; please forgive me; my husband does not last in bed and I needed it most for my upkeep hence I gave in to the men”.

Meanwhile, the husband, in a swift reaction, said:

“I promise to kill all the 18 men because I warned my wife to stay away from the act. When I got wind of it, I consulted a charm specialist who will kill all of them if they refused to own up”. An elder in the area, Ogbueshi Anthony Molokwu, said the three persons who died of swollen joystick refused to confess their sins, adding that anyone who commits a taboo will pay dearly for it.

Further investigation revealed that the latest victims allegedly vowed to hide their heads in shame and not to confess their sins.They would rather die hence the curious circumstances of their death –abnormally swollen joystick followed by death.

As at the time of this report, elders of the community has banished the 15 other culprits until they confessed their action while palpable fear of the unknown pervades the community.

Boyfriend Traces His Missing Girlfriend With iPhone App Only To Find Her Dead Near A School (Photo)

According to a report by Daily Mail UK, a boyfriend used the 'Find My Friends' iPhone app to help locate his missing partner - only to discover she had been shot dead. Lanecia Nelson was found dead near a charter school in southwest Atlanta, Georgia, in the early hours of Wednesday.


The 24-year-old's partner, who has not been named, had been able to pinpoint the area with the help of the app, which uses GPS, and found some of her clothes. He then flagged down police who made the grim discovery of her body on a woodland trail.

Her death has since been ruled as a homicide after the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office said she had been shot in the head. A uniformed officer was alerted by the boyfriend on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Police dogs were then used to locate the body at 2.40am about 500 yards away.

Authorities say the man cooperated with police and was not considered a suspect. Nelson's relatives had reported her missing on Tuesday. Officer Donald Hannah told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: 'Our homicide unit is working to gather and explore all possible leads.'

Police Lt. Carven Tyus told WSBTV: 'We'll be reaching out to family members, trying to ascertain where exactly the victim was, who she was last seen with, and we'll just seek help from the public in identifying what happened here.'

5 Natural Ways To Treat Vaginal Odour

4. Baking soda 

As awkward as this may sound, baking soda or Bicarbonate of soda balances the pH level around the vaginal area and provides a good environment that will dissipate any unpleasant odour. Fill a bathtub with water and add about 5 spoons of baking soda. Submerge in this solution for 30-45 minutes, and then rinse with fresh water.

5. Hydrogen Peroxide

This item is able to stop all microbial actions that produce unpleasant scents in the vagina. Add a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to a cup of water, wash the vag with the solution and rinse again with normal tap water. Do note that these remedies are natural, and hence don’t produce overnight magic. Repeat them for a couple of days to see great and lasting results.
