Nigerian Military entering Arepo and Ibafo in Ogun State to confront militants 

The Nigerian Army have stormed Arepo and Ibafo communities in Ogun and Lagos State to confront militants terrorizing residents in the area.

According to a Punch report, there was a serious exchange of gunfire between militants and military men inside the creek, people were advised to stay indoors as the militant now hide inside people’s compound to escape the military men.

The military came prepared, even with a helicopter to fish out the criminals.

Navy Blocks All Escape Route Of Pipeline Vandals In Lagos

The Nigerian Navy on Friday said it had successfully blocked all escape routes of the pipeline vandals in the Arepo, Ikorodu areas of Lagos.

The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Fergusson Bobai said this at a news conference held at the Command’s Headquarters in Apapa, Lagos.


“We the blocked escape routes toward Ogun State and we are going to sustain this operation and see, where it will lead us. “The essence of having this blockade by land and water is that when they are running out, we will be able to grab them, profile and investigate them,’’ he said.

Bobai, who confirmed that there was an ongoing operation at the Arepo area, said the directive for the operation came from the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Abayomi Olonishakin.

“The directive came from him, for us to carry out the operation in the Arepo area. “This is with a view of dismantling the vandals who are scattered in Arepo, Ibafo and Ishawo areas of the state. Initially, we were directed not to use air power. “But when we carried out an assessment of the area, a lot of the vandals moved from the areas accessible by water and land to areas that were difficult terrain into the swampy areas. “We had to use the air power, which was granted by the CDS,’’ he said.

The FOC said the Navy collaborated with Lagos and Ogun governments since the operation was between both territories. Bobai said other security agencies were participating, stressing that the navy had also employed the Special Boat Services alongside the Directorate of State Services. He added that the Navy would not only arrest the vandals but would also get at their sponsors.

The FOC, who also spoke about the kidnapped of the monarch of Iba, noted that there were ongoing meetings with the Police to ensure that the Oba was safe, even if he was within the area of operation.

A man allegedly beat his wife to stupor then used pliers to cut off part of her ear. According to OAP Kemisola Adeyemi who shared the photos online, the woman, pictured has been suffering spousal abuse for a long time.

At a point her husband, who is reportedly a UNIBEN lawyer beat her just shortly after she had her baby through Ceaserian operation and she has to be rushed back to the hospital. Now she wants a divorce and even the lawyers are afraid to defend her because of the threats her husband has been making towards them.

So Shameful! Pastor's Wife 'Goes Mad' Destroying Properties After Accusing Husband of Cheating (Photo)

Ruth Nyaga went on rampage destroying her husband's property 

It was drama in Ukunda, Kwale County of Kenya after a pastor's wife went on rampage destroying properties at the husband's cafe after accusing him of cheating with another woman.

According to CitizensTv, Ruth Nyaga said her husband, a pastor, has abdicated his responsibilities, adding that she is now demanding that her husband of 20 years does the honourable thing and introduces his lover formally if he has intentions of marrying her. She alleged that her husband now use the proceeds from the café for the upkeep of the woman and has even built her the business.


“Marrying a second wife is not a problem, but he should come with that woman and tell me this is my second wife,” said Ms Nyaga. However, the pastor has responded by saying that his culture allows him to marry up to four women, noting that he had done nothing wrong.

“I am from the Tharaka community so I can marry up to four wives, even your dad has two wives,” he said.

As the couple went through the embarrassing public show, petty thieves were taking advantage of the situation to make away with whatever they could lay their hands on.

A member of the church where the pastor ministers said that it was unfortunate that their leader who should be showing them a good example was involved in such a case.

“He is the pastor at New Apostolic Faith Church and should be showing us a good example,” she noted.

An eye witness described the scene as embarrassing, adding that the man’s life was in danger because both women showed up with knives. He also added that the couple could have settled the dispute at home instead of such a public show.

“To tell you the truth we men have more than one woman, but they should have settled the dispute in their own home,” he said.

This comes less than one week after an incident where a 32-year-old man in Matunda Village, Kakamega County was attacked by his wife while he slept and his private parts set on fire following a disagreement on land ownership.

Working at full throttle….A generator powered by liquefied natural gas 

Epileptic public power supply has continued to be a recurring decimal over the years in Nigeria. This has stifled the industrial sector of the nation’s sector as well as caused untold hardship on families.

It is also true that apart from private homes, the owners of industrial concerns were, and are still forced to seek other reliable sources of energy to power their industrial machines. That was to lead to the current massive importation of all manner of electric generating sets. But the drawback today periodic scarcity of petroleum products which owners of generating sets have to endure, including extra expense bills that come with it.


On the other hand, electric distribution companies have not ceased to distribute ‘crazy’ electricity bills, even when it is not commensurate with power supplied and consumed. Salaries and pensions have run into several months of arrears and public power supply has not become any better.

The times are very hard and since families run their generators for hours everyday, this expenditure sub-head has virtually gone out of the reach of most families. Unfortunately, nobody knows when this ugly power supply situation would change for the better. It would appear there is a ray of hope in the horizon.

It is a thing of joy that somebody has come up with the idea of a liquefied petroleum gas-powered generator and the Owerri Zonal Office of the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, provided the needed forum for him to showcase the invention during the sensitisation workshops for LPG marketers and end users.

Displaying the new finding, the Executive Director of the company, Mr. Obiegbu Light, brought a gas cylinder and a generator into the hall, connected the cylinder to the generator and effortlessly started it. The noise from the generator was subdued. The usual smoke associated with petrol engines was equally absent.

Although the DPR Zonal Operations Controller, Owerri Zonal Office, Ogbuefi Morrison Nwokedi, was principally interested in promoting the use of liquefied petroleum gas in homes by all, he, however, added that LPG operated generator was a plus to his establishment’s drive.

“The use of gas is clean, cheap, safe and environment friendly. The recent explosion which occurred at a private gas plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, which claimed some precious human lives, cannot be enough reason for Nigerians to discard the use of domestic gas,” Nwokedi said.

While saying that the information available to DPR points to a palpable apathy for the use of domestic gas by customers in the South East geo-political zone, since the Nnewi gas explosion, the Zonal DPR boss, however, assured that the establishment would, as part of the programme, introduce the new DPR guidelines for standard operating procedures, SOP, for refilling plant operations in Nigeria.

Delivering a 17-page lecture at the event, the Head, Gas Division, DPR Owerri, Albert Echibe, advised marketers that only competent and duly certified personnel should man, monitor and supervise the discharging operations.

“Only duly trained and certified operators shall perform the cylinder filling operations in the filling shed. The filling shed is a restricted area and his provision shall be strictly enforced”, Echibe, an engineer, said.

A suspected kidnapper was burnt to death yesterday in Gboko, Benue State after he allegedly stole a 3-month-old baby from a house at the Bristow Round-About. According to an eyewitness: "We just heard the baby’s mother screaming ‘thief, thief’ and we came out only to see the boy running with the baby," "Some boys in the area collected the baby and started beating him while the others were looking for tyre and calling more people to come out. 3 Nigerian drug convicts have been executed in Indonesia...See Details

One of the Nigerians executed 

Three Nigerians and one Indonesia were executed by firing squad shortly after midnight local time, reports say.

Those who were executed have been named as three Nigerians - Seck Osmane, Humphrey Jefferson Ejike, Michael Titus Igweh and one Indonesian Freddy Budiman.

Those who remain on death row include three other Indonesians, a Pakistani, an Indian, two other Nigerians and two Zimbabweans. It is not clear why their executions did not proceed.

"Of course there are considerations for it," was all Deputy Attorney General for Crimes, Noor Rachmad would say. He said those who had been executed had filed for judicial reviews twice and both were rejected. There has been no confirmation yet from the government. The remaining 10 are expected to be put to death in the coming days.

Human rights organisation Amnesty International condemned the executions as a "deplorable act that violates international and Indonesian law".

Relatives had gathered there earlier in the day to say goodbye to loved ones. It also said 17 ambulances were sent to the island - 14 of them carrying coffins, Jakarta Post reports. All 14 had been moved into isolation cells ahead of the executions.

A vigil was held outside the presidential palace on Thursday night to protest against the executions, although most Indonesians support the death penalty for drug offences according to opinion polls.

The government insists they are a necessary deterrent in the war against drugs, with officials regularly citing statistics that 40 to 50 people die from drug-related causes a day.

"It is an action to stop the rapid spread of drug in Indonesia - today Indonesia has become the main destination in the Asian market," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir.

Meet Nigerian Man Who Successfully Transitioned to a Woman in Shocking Photos

The above photos have clearly shown how a Nigerian man identified as Habeeb Babatunde Lawal, successfully transitioned to a woman now known as Noni Salma Lawal.

According to reports, the young Nigerian entertainment journalist before he left Nigeria, graduated from the University of Lagos with Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts.

It was learnt that he even became a filmmaker before transforming into a transgender.

While speaking about her transition, Noni said: "It was a life or death situation for me. It was either transition or die."
