So on one of those days I hung my head and claimed life had ended for me, I walked past Gbolahan. He lives right across my house and was in class with one of my elder ones. I heard he was very brilliant but I've known him to be a chronic drunk for at least 15 years...His case was worse than a mad man. He'd drink 'ogogoro' all day, get beaten up and slapped by passersby, get hit by vehicles and then walk/shout all over the street all night. He barely slept and on the days he did, he would sleep in any 'maruwa' he finds parked behind my house. He practically had no life outside his bottle of gin.

So, I was returning from work this (Friday) evening and took a bus from Oshodi to Sango. I sat at the last seat close to the window. This tall, good looking lady came to sit beside me while others came in and the bus was filled up. Though I am not a fan of chatting up ladies in public transport, today was an exception and I ended up very disappointed after my experience. I got bored along the road due to long Lagos traffic and my phone was dead, so I had no choice than to strike a convo. I bought chips and offered her some, but she refused, thanked me and smiled. I enjoyed my chips then bought a chilled bottle of Teem. I was having trouble opening the drink, so she volunteered opening it for me. I thanked her and we started talking.

The Rivers state election petition tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers state today nullified Governor Nyesom Wike's election. The tribunal led by Justice Ambusa said the April 11 2015 election which brought Wike to power was marred by election fraud and violence. He ordered for a rerun election. Chinese police have arrested a man on suspicion of stabbing five random woman in the buttocks as he tried to find his ex-girlfriend who allegedly took money from him. According to People’s Daily Online, the suspect, only identified by his surname Li, knifed all victims in the buttocks in remote residential areas in Laizhou of Shandong province, eastern China. He said he was seeking revenge against his ex-girlfriend and he mistook the victims for his former partner. His unusual behaviour reportedly caused a panic among female residents in Yantai who feared of going out alone in the evening.

The Aguleri community in Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State was on Thursday thrown into a state of mourning after a pregnant woman crushed her husband’s testicles leading to his sudden death. But it was a double tragedy for the family, as his friend who took him to the mortuary was killed in a fatal accident a day after his friend’s death along Otuocha-Adani Road, the Sun reports. According to the Sun, trouble started when the woman, who is five months pregnant accused her husband of having an extra marital affair.

Anurika Nathan, an 11-year-old native of Owo-Ahia Afor, Obingwa Local Government Area, Abia State, was allegedly raped to death by her guardian, and her parents are worried that her corpse had not been released for burial long after autopsy was concluded on it. The Nation had reported the death of Anurika, the last female child of Mr. Chinenye Nathan, a civil servant in Abia State, in the house of her guardian in whose house she was working as a house help before her untimely death.

A spanish couple, Rosario Porto, a former lawyer, and her ex-husband, journalist Alfonso Basterra, are accused of murdering Asunta Yong Fang Basterra Porto, whom they adopted when she was a baby.


The couple are accused of drugging 12-year-old Asunta with the sedative Orfidal periodically for three months and finally asphyxiating her in September 2013, when the child's body was found in a wood near northwestern city of Santiago de Compostela.

Aurora movie theater shooter, James Holmes, assaulted in prison

The Colorado Department of Corrections has confirmed that an inmate , 27 year old Mark "Slim" Daniels,assaulted theater shooter James Holmes and a security officer in the highest security prison in the state.

Horrifying footage has emerged showing four women suspected of witchcraft being tortured, stripped, tied up and burned by an angry mob in Papua New Guinea.
The women were accused of sorcery after a young man fell ill in a village in Enga province in August.
Social media posts said the women were accused of “invisibly” taking the man’s heart, and then putting it back after they were tortured. In their attackers’ eyes this would also prove their guilt as sorcerers.
