Four-year-old Rebecca (not real name) was a normal baby when she was born. She was bubbling with life, but following several sexual assaults on her by her 37-year-old father, identified as Ademola, little Rebecca has lost her voice. She has not been able to talk for the past few weeks. She looked forlornly and occasionally fell asleep in the arms of her mother, Folake, 32, who was visibly distressed as she explained to Saturday PUNCH how her husband of 14 years had been molesting their daughter.

Lawyers for 16 year old Meadow Walker, claim her Dad survived the impact of the crash but suffered horrifically when he was helplessly trapped inside the 2005 Carrera GT when it burst into flames.

According to the lawsuit, when the car crashed and broke apart the seat belt “snapped Walker’s torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis."
The suit claims the actor was trapped inside the car and was still alive when the fire broke out 1 minute and 20 seconds after it hit the tree.

2 survivors of Charlie Hebdo terror attack to leave satirical paper

Two journalists are leaving Charlie Hebdo, the satirical French newspaper whose staff was attacked in a January terror massacre.

Artistic director Luz had said in May that he planned to end his career as a Charlie Hebdo cartoonist. In this week's issue, he made known that next week would be his last.

Writer Patrick Pelloux said in an interview on Saturday that he would also leave "probably" in January.
Luz was the one who drew the cover cartoon of a weeping Mohammed, saying "All is forgiven" in the issue following the Jan. 7 attack by Islamic extremists on the paper, which left 12 people dead. A second attack two days later on a Kosher grocery store in Paris killed five others. All three gunmen died in clashes with police.

NLC, TUC, others advise Senator Saraki to resign

 

Members of the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, have asked the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, to resign from his position as the senate president pending the outcome of his case at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

They said that even though Saraki is still on trial and has not been found guilty of the allegations against him, it is morally right for him to resign his job.

Burkina Faso prosecutor freezes assets of leader of failed coup

Burkina Faso on Saturday froze the assets of General Gilbert Diendere, who led a failed coup last week in which his men took the president and prime minister hostage just weeks before elections were due.

The state prosecutor said in a statement that he also froze the assets of 13 others suspected of links to the coup and to the political party of former President Blaise Compaore and three other parties linked to the former ruler.
