Nigerian Government Speaks On Threats By Trump To Deport Citizens
The fear was raised by Permanent Secretary Minsitry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye.
Enikanolaiye spoke at the National Defence College (NDC) in Abuja, where he represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama in a paper presentation titled: “Nigerian Foreign Policy: An Evaluation.” He noted that the Ministry recently held a retreat to raise awareness and strategies on Nigerian and United States of America relations under the Presidency of Donald Trump.
The official pointed out that Trump’s anti-migration comments and United States initiatives and supports on HIV/AIDS programs in Nigeria were discussed.
Enikanolaiye said the Ministry also deliberated on whether The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) may be in jeopardy under the Trump presidency of the United States of America.
He disclosed that Nigeria was working to strengthen ties with Russia, recalling that the Russian government came to the aid of Nigeria with the supply of military equipment to fight insurgents.
On Nigeria’s backing of the One China policy, he said it was “because of our own national interest in support of the territorial integrity of countries.
“Recognition for breakaway nations may encourage agitators and entities who seek to carve out of sovereign countries.”
He confirmed that Nigeria had asked the Taiwanese trade office in Abuja to relocate to Lagos, and continue their trade away from political institutions in Abuja.

Providence Moyo, a popular Zimbabwean businesswoman from Bulawayo, has opened a school for s*x workers.
According to H Metro, the woman, having realised that s*x workers lack information on their rights and are financially illiterate, has decided to educate them. Providence Moyo has formed a trust called Devine Providence Foundation.
So far, about 20 commercial s*x workers have joined her school and they are receiving lessons on their s*xual rights and how to save up for a better future.
“In my interactions with the commercial s*x workers I have noted with concern that most of them don’t have information on their s*xual rights hence they are abused by clients,” she said. So it’s now back to school for the working girls.
“As of now we have two modules. The first one focuses on s*xual rights and reproductive rights while the other module focuses on investment, financial literacy, sole trading skills and business management,” she said.
According to H Metro, her main objective is to empower the commercial s*x workers and not drive them off their trade. In separate interviews s*x workers expressed joy at the gesture.
“I’m HIV positive due to that I had lost hope in life. I was living life anyhow because I treated my status as a death sentence. However, after attending these lessons I’m now hopeful of a better life. I’m cautious of my reproductive health,” said Noma (not her real name).
Thembelihle Simango has been working for 12 years and there’s nothing to show for it.
“I have been making money from this trade but I failed to invest. I used to live as if there’s no tomorrow. But after attending these business lessons I have to change the way I use money and leave a legacy for my children,” she said.

The Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday, arrested terrorists planning to attack Kaduna.
DSS spokesman, Tony Opuiyo, in a statement yesterday, said one Alkasim Salisu, a Boko Haram member was arrested at Rigasa area of Igabi LGA of Kaduna State.
It added that Salisu had fled the military operation in Yobe State to settle in Kaduna where he and his cohorts had planned to launch attacks on select targets in Kaduna metropolis including the railway station.
Continuing, “On 13th January, 2017, the agency rescued four oil company kidnap victims from their abductors at White House Estate, Rumukwurushi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.” “The kidnap gang was led by Emmanuel EYO, earlier arrested in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
“During the rescue operation supported by the military, a staff of the Service sustained gunshot injuries in his leg while three members of the gang were killed in the exchange of fire.
“One AK.47 rifle, one magazine containing 59 rounds of 7.5mm ammunition and three (3) locally made pistols were recovered from the gang.”

Oh Well the deal has finally been sealed in far away New York by the singer, his label boss, Ubi Franklin and their new partner, Paul Okoye whom the duo met up with in the capital city two days ago upon arrival. They moved on to Sony head office where they met with the staffs and put pen to paper on a $4 million deal, that's over 1.2 billion naira.
The deal is said to be the biggest ever by any Nigerian artist yet and is also believe to dwarf that of Davido and Wizkid.

The young lady identified as Amy, has died only three days after getting engaged to her fiance. According to her best friend who shared the story on Instagram, Amy got engaged on the 7th of January and died on the 10th of January, 2017.
The develoment has, undoubtedly, left her totally heartbroken.

Busted! Fake Soldier Who Terrorises Agege Community Arrested In Lagos (See Photo)
Benjamin was arrested following complaints made by residents of Agege, Lagos.
Police responded to the complaint to discover that Benjamin not only wears the army uniform to extort from citizens but he also engages in an illegal motorcycle trade in which he steals motorcycles and resells them.
Speaking to ogbudu.com correspondent, Benjamin, who is a father of two, confessed to the crimes and disclosed the price at which he sold some of the motorcycles.
“I sold one for fifty thousand Naira. I sold another one for seventy thousand Naira and another one for seventy-three thousand. The highest one I sold is ninety thousand Naira.” Benjamin said.
He also insisted that he had not stolen more than four motorcycles. When asked if his wife who lives with him was aware of his activities he said she knew nothing about it and denied ever wearing the army uniform.
However, the police sergeant, Egede West, who spoke with ogbudu.com, countered his claims and said that he has, not just the army uniform, but also different uniforms belonging to various agencies.
“He has been terrorising and intimidating people with the uniform in the community where he stays at Agege and the community members, having observed him and his nefarious activities, informed the police. We went there and discovered that the information was true.
He has uniforms, assorted uniforms, military and other agency uniforms which he uses to operate. We arrested him and he made statement and confessed to other activities, including stealing of motorcycles, snatching of different things, not only within Lagos but even in other states,” Sergeant West said.
