Isaac Kwasi Fosu, an unemployed middle-aged man, stunned an
Accra Magistrate Court on Thursday when he confessed to killing 17 people across
the country for politicians. According to Adom Online, even though the accused could not
mention who his supposed politician clients were, he alleged that he was paid
GH¢25,000 (about N1.3million) by his contracting partners for the killings. He claimed that he carried out the gruesome act with four other
people who are now on the run.
Fosu, a.k.a T O was arrested by the police on April 12 at Atibie
Amanfrom in the Eastern Region after his cover was blown for allegedly
murdering Kwaku Owiredu, a 15-year-old boy, in a cocoa farm at Abokyikrom
near Nkawkaw. The Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw has given the interim report
on the cause of Owiredu’s death as hemorrhagic shock, sharp edged laceration of
anterior and suspected assault.
The police are on the heels of the four other accomplices
currently on the run. They are Kwame Alex, Yaw Ampofo, William Arthur and Yaa
Pokua.
According to the prosecution, Fosu and the four others on
November 29 last year, at Abokyikrom intentionally caused the death of Kwaku by
causing unlawful harm.
During his first appearance in the court presided over by Gloria
Naa Botor Laryea, Isaac Kwasi Fosu was charged with conspiracy to murder and
murder.
The magistrate accordingly remanded Fosu into police custody
until June 18 to enable the police enough time to complete their
investigations.
