Graphic Photo: Trigger-Happy Nigerian Soldier Allegedly Shoots Female Student Beside Her Boobs

A female student of College of Education in Oju, Benue state was shot while sitting in front of her residence at Lawani hostels, situated outside the school campus. According to an eye witness, “the problem started when one student of the institution was alleged to have a long standing problem with a female student and supposed girl friend of a soldier. “For that reason, the soldier, on Thursday afternoon, stormed the institution to whisk Anthony to the ‘Operation Zenda’ base in Oju, but fellow students resisted the move. He was asked to get an approval from the institution’s management before taking the student away.

“At that point, the angry soldier went away, promising to come back. That evening, the soldier went back to the institution with some of his colleagues to abduct the said Anthony but were resisted by students in the institution who also aided Anthony to escape. “Vexed by the action of the students, the soldier opened fire with his riffle and the innocent girl who was sitting by the door of her room got hit at the side of her chest.

“She was rushed to Adoga hospital in Oju where she was given two pints of blood because she had lost so much blood and thereafter rushed to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, BSUTH, for further treatment because the bullet could not be extracted and her condition was deteriorating.

“As I speak with you, we cannot ascertain the condition of the student but the Army Corporal has been arrested by the Police in Oju and transferred to the Command Headquarters in Makurdi.”

Meanwhile, attempts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Assistant Superintendent, ASP, Moses Yamu failed, but a top Police source who craved anonymity confirmed that the matter was being investigated while the Army Corporal was being interrogated.

SHOCKER: Fani-Kayode Used His Girlfriends To Launder The Money From CBN?

People have what it takes to work and make it big in life, but laziness and the craze to show off what they are not truly worth often push some to cut corners and engage in dirty acts because of money.
An EFCC insider has just revealed to SR that said Femi Fani-Kayode was shocked when the anti-corruption agency's investigators opened their books and showed him practical money trails of how he used his wife, girlfriends and others to launder the money.

A source say the reason the lady who gave birth to Fani-Kayode's son moved out of his big house in Abuja as soon as he was arrested is not unconnected to this; she's one of those he used to move money.

The source added that EFCC will get everyone involved, both 'wife' and girlfriends.

PDP forced Sheriff out of office, Appoints Ex-Governor Makarfi as Interim Chairman

Politicians and their use and dump tactics...so all these while that Governors Ayo Fayose and Nyesom Wike were pushing Ali-Modu Sheriff as Chairman of the party, they actually had other plans against him?

In a dramatic move in Port Harcourt today, the PDP sacked its national chairman, Modu Sheriff, and the party has gone ahead to appoint an interim executive led ex-governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi.

Former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi, was also appointed the interim secretary of the party.

But why did they do this to Sheriff?
Sources say the new caretaker committee will pilot the affairs of the party for three months, leading to a new convention that would be free of all the manipulations witnessed under Sheriff.

Meanwhile, the party’s scheduled national convention in Port Harcourt was cancelled, as a faction of the party conducted a parallel convention in Abuja same day.

“The convention is not holding. Our leaders have been meeting since early in the morning, and they finally resolved that the convention should be shelved until the court order issued is vacated," said a delegate.

While Sheriff was addressing the pressing and saying all delegates should go back to the states, the man did not know that they have already removed him from office as Chairman. #politics

The Second Coming Of President Buhari

This is according to Ovation Boss, Dele Momodu. Read below:

Fellow Nigerians, let me start today’s epistle by saying time flies indeed. Over a year ago, the dream of Major General Muhammadu Buhari to return to power, after being toppled in a military coup by Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and company, was eventually realised after a record fourth attempt. History would record this monumental feat as one of the biggest miracles of our time. It was a testimony to the power of resilience and tenacity.

Not many people would ever have a second chance in life. In fact, a second chance is usually a rare and divine opportunity to correct past mistakes, make amends, atone for sins of omission and commission; and move forward to greater glory. In recent time, only two former Generals have been so favoured. The first Nigerian to return to power in 1999 was General Olusegun Matthew Aremu Okikiolakan Obasanjo. Obasanjo had left power in 1979, in a most controversial manner, after handing over power hurriedly to the newly elected President Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari. That election would remain one of the most controversial in Africa’s most populous nation but Obasanjo was determined to quit power and he got a standing ovation from the global community.

Obasanjo remained vocal and relevant in retirement. He attained the enviable status of a statesman for his dexterous understanding of foreign affairs as well as his uncommon courage at fighting for Africa wherever his avuncular intervention was required. He was voluble in his acerbic criticism of his successors, especially President Babangida who had metamorphosed from military to civilian President and instantly acquired the sobriquet of “evil genius.” There were rumours that Babangida did not want to quit power as attested to by his endless transition deadlines which eventually culminated in the ill-fated June 12, 1993 election debacle and its resultant conundrum. The refusal to hand over to the presumptuous winner of that election, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, the Yoruba generalissimo, would cost Nigeria some expensive and extensive repercussions.

President Babangida was left with no choice than to step aside after all his talismanic experiments failed. He handed over to a lame duck Interim National Government, headed by Chief Ernest Adegunle Shonekan, which crumbled in a jiffy when General Sani Abacha struck and sentenced Nigeria to years of servitude and excruciating dictatorship. Buhari was assigned a pivotal role under that dreaded government when he was asked to manage the Petroleum Trust Fund. Despite criticisms about his performance, many would attest to the fact that he applied the funds frugally and judiciously.

Abacha was a different kind of military ruler. Despite his well-known taciturnity, his actions were reverberatingly loud. Many of us dispersed and scattered in different directions. No one needed to tell us before we scampered into safety. It was during this eerie period that Olusegun Obasanjo and his former deputy, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, both retired army Generals simultaneously got into trouble when they were charged for treason. Abiola himself had been picked up from his home and kept in solitary confinement at God-knows-where.  Abiola was a civilian warrior who fought ferociously for his inalienable right to be the President of Nigeria. Out of the three of them, only Obasanjo lived to tell the story. The other two died under mysterious circumstances yet to be unravelled till this day.

Obasanjo came out of prison looking gaunt and almost gone but God is awesome. The Bible-wielding leader effortlessly migrated from prison to the presidential villa in Abuja. It was a matter of destiny which no tribulation could stop or annihilate. The resurgence of Obasanjo was a done deal by the Nigerian Mafia. Chief Oluyemisi Falae, banker and economist, fought a spirited battle but failed to stop Obasanjo’s second coming.

Obasanjo, without doubt, knew Nigeria inside out and he had his game plan ready. He was able to hit the ground running from Day One. His style was blistering. He managed the economy well and was able to pay off Nigeria’s debts. He was fortunate that oil, Nigeria’s cash cow, sold at a premium. He reversed Nigeria’s pariah status in the comity of nations. He was personable and accommodating in his first term. But trouble came as he began to seek the second time. He wasted enough energy, time and resources fighting his Vice President and ancillary and imaginary enemies. His war against corruption became vengeful and ruthless. The crave for an unconstitutional third term was the height of it all. Whether he personally wanted it or was lured into it, this audacious move deemed and diminished the Obasanjo presidency. Despite the hoopla generated by the controversial plot, Obasanjo would be remembered as a leader who did so much for his country during his second coming.

It was during Obasanjo’s re-election contest in 2003 that Buhari threw his hat in the ring. No one knew how long he had nursed the ambition of returning to power. Buhari failed and cried foul. He headed to the courts but got no joy in return. In the twilight days of the Obasanjo government, Buhari tried his luck again but lost to Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, his fellow citizen from Katsina State. Again, Buhari cried wolf. In 2011, Buhari joined the presidential race again and was taunted as a serial candidate. He was soundly beaten by the incumbent President Dr Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, who had been catapulted to power after the death of his ailing boss, President Yar’Adua. Out of acute frustration, or something else, Buhari sang a nunc dimittis and literally said goodbye to presidential contests. It didn’t come as a surprise to many. At nearly 70 years old, the perennial campaigns must have taken its toll on the body if not the soul. Buhari had crisscrossed several political parties. He had been called unprintable names including religious bigot, ruthless dictator, certificate dodger and forger, terrorist, and so on. But man proposes and God disposes.

Somehow, Buhari suddenly announced he would run again. When God is ready for you, you will find succour in your enemies. Those who would ordinarily not support Buhari all lined up for him. Buhari was repackaged and rebranded as a born again democrat. The recklessness of the PDP government and the war of attrition which ravaged the ruling party made Buhari’s journey a lot sleeker this time. What was thought impossible in the past ignited and exploded at home and abroad. Buhari was funky-fied and he became a brand we all identified with proudly.

Thus the expectations were raised for a Buhari presidency and this would later put so much pressure on the fledgling government. Buhari won the election convincingly this time and President Goodluck Jonathan was magnificent in defeat. For the first time we saw an incumbent Nigerian President concede defeat and even calling his opponent to offer congratulations. What if Jonathan had refused to give up power and chose to set up the nation in flames? Innocent people would have been killed for the sake of political gladiators. The joy in the land was unlimited. It reverberated across the seas.

Buhari was sworn in one year less eight days today. And it has been quite a tough and rough journey. The first challenge was how to assemble a good, competent and efficacious team to run the nation with the President we all knew to be incorruptible. That exercise alone took several months. There is no question, that sluggishness dampened the fire of change that had engulfed everywhere. The rumbling started from that moment when it seemed the momentum had waned substantially. The screening exercise also turned into another melodrama. It dragged on a bit before the cabinet was eventually constituted.

The ruling party APC had started on a precarious note when it could not gently elect its national assembly leaders. Like a house divided against itself, APC leaders have been tearing at each other’s throats. The battle has taken a full year in germinating and no one knows when the harvest time would come and the yield it would bring to all parties concerned in the imbroglio.

The economy has suffered miserably. Oil revenue has gone down drastically. Exchange rates have hit the rooftops beyond the ceiling. Imports have decreased. Government is not able to meet its commitments to the people. There have been flip-flops in terms of dashed or miscommunicated campaign promises. The social media is now agog with all manner of caricatures dissing the Buhari government. A battle is raging between the Buhari supporters and those who feel Buhari’s government is failing and falling apart. Some have already written off the second coming of Buhari as an anti-climax. Are they right or wrong? The answer is neither here nor there.

President Buhari did not come back at the right time. The comatose economy caused by atrocious corruption and reckless years of profligacy has hit the country by the jugular. One area the government has shown total passion without compassion is in the area of fighting corruption. The battle has been fierce and relentless. There have been allegations that Buhari is on a witch-hunt to take his pound of flesh on his critics and perceived enemies. PDP has been under siege. The banks are not having it easy over campaign funds that were warehoused in their vaults. There is panic in the financial sector. The tension is red hot. Buhari and his team must have their strategy and many are praying and hoping everything is on course and we shall arrive our destination safe and sound.

President Buhari has travelled far and wide within this first year in office. He’s been accorded the status of a Rock star globally. He is well respected. How this would translate to concrete achievements remain to be seen. On a personal note, I believe despite the humongous challenges, it is too early to write off Buhari. This government has three years to show Nigerians its capabilities. In my next piece, I plan to elaborate on what I think President Buhari can and should do to redeem his government from the spiralling attacks. He should ignore the paranoia of those who are likely to find enemies where there are none.

It shall be well with our country…

Boyfriend Who Killed Female MTN Worker Has Been Arrested

How can you kill a lady you claim you love and wanted to marry? Men, think straight to avoid such mess!

Three weeks after the murder of a 30-year-old customer care executive with telecommunications company, MTN, Oluwatosin Ashinwo in Ilorin, Kwara State, the man who allegedly stabbed her multiple times, causing her death, has been apprehended by the police.

It was gathered that 45-year-old David Ogundele, whose love advances were rejected by the lady, was nabbed in Osun on Saturday, May 14, after the police tracked him down with undercover agents.

According to Punch, he was immediately taken back to Kwara where he was transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation of the state Police Command, Ilorin.

It was learnt that police had also retrieved the murder weapon, a kitchen knife which Ogundele, an engineer, used during the attack. Also recovered were slippers, which he left at the scene.

It was reported on April 30 how Ogundele allegedly attacked Oluwatosin and her mother in her apartment at Tanke area of Ilorin. He reportedly stabbed the deceased and her murder multiple times, locking them in the apartment as he fled.

Oluwatosin would later bleed to death while her injured mother had to undergo a life-saving surgery to repair the extensive damage inflicted by the knife attack.

Ogundele later claimed in a text message to Punch while in hiding that he was under a spell. “She is dead, let me die too,” he had said at the time.

If you know you're under a spell, go for prayers before you "commit", otherwise you are on your own!

Stella Damasus Husband, Daniel Ademonikan, Thinks His First Wife Was A Mistake?

No wife or husband is totally bad, if they were you would not have dated till the point of marriage. But your spouse could have too many physical and spiritual baggage that needs to be taken care of, and things would sure fall apart if that spouse is adamant, refusing to take necessary action to change.

Daniel Ademonikan who was married to Doris Simeon before leaving her to be with Stella Damasus, shared this loved up photo of himself and the beautiful actress and wrote:
"Just because we are human...we make mistakes and fail. Why? Because we are human! Everybody deserves a second shot at getting it right."

Policemen celebrated Our Son’s death with Beer – Family Cries

The Uchenwoke family in Mbosi, Ihiala, Anambra State and the state Chapter of Civil Liberties Organisation, have petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, accusing the police in the state of allegedly clubbing 40-year-old Mr Nonso Uchenwoke to death.

The family, who said the incident occurred at Okpoko, on the outskirts of Onitsha, alleged that the policemen who killed Nonso were seen celebrating it over some bottles of beer.

Narrating the tragic story, the elder brother of the deceased, Calistus, said
his brother was killed by a team of policemen from Okpoko Police Station on Friday night (last week) following a disagreement between him (Nonso) and his neighbour, one Ada Ekwueme, who was said to be a police woman.

Callistus maintained that Ekwueme had brought her colleagues from Okpoko Police Station and took them to the deceased’s house, where they gave him a thorough beating.

He said, “At the heat of the beating of my younger brother, his neighbours at Udeaja/Ibe Street, East Niger Layout in Okpoko called me on the telephone to rush to the place, but before I could arrive at the scene, Nonso was already lying on the ground unconscious with the policemen watching him.

“When I met the policemen led by one Obiakor and demanded to know the crime my brother committed, which made them to beat him to coma, he (Obiakor) did not want to listen to me.”

Callistus said when he wanted to take his brother to a nearby hospital to save his life, the policemen refused and insisted that they would take him to the police station.

He maintained that while he was pleading with the police, another contingent of policemen led by a Divisional Crime Officer arrived with more patrol vans full of cops.

Callistus said pleas from people around, including the President-General of the community, Mr. John Ngerem, could not persuade the policemen.

“Instead, the DCO ordered his men to carry the unconscious Nonso into their vehicle and take him away.

“We only heard from the DPO, Kayode Olabanji, later that my younger brother had died and that they had deposited his remains at Beks Hospital morgue.

“Upon inquiries, it was gathered that the policemen took my brother to the police station that night and dumped him under that unconscious state in the cell against my plea to take him to the hospital for medical attention.”

The Civil Liberties Organisation in Anambra State in a joint petition with the family to the Inspector-General of Police, said, “When we went to the station to see the DPO, the police culprits were busy drinking beer at a joint near the station, contrary to what the DPO told us that they had been arrested and detained.”

In the petition signed by the Vice Chairman of CLO, Mr. Alex Olisa, and the Legal Secretary, Comrade Justus Ijeoma, they asked the IGP to carry out investigation into the matter and ensure that those found culpable were brought to justice.

When contacted, the Okpoko DPO referred Southern City News to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Ali Okechukwu.

“I am not in a position to talk to you on this matter. We have transferred the matter to the State Police Command. When you talk with the PPRO, there, you will know how far we have gone”, the DPO said.

When the PPRO was contacted, he said, “I cannot talk on the matter because there is no case involving a police woman and his neighbour on my table.”

Madness Or….? Meet Men And Women Who Enjoy Dressing Up As DOGS (Photos)

There is nothing someone will not see on internet. There is actually a weird world of “human pups”, which means - grown men/women who enjoy dressing up as dogs, and according to them, what they do is not sexual and their yearning to wear rubber outfits and masks is a lifestyle choice. The craze has 10,000 followers in the UK, and a few of them are women. The females are said to be more into kitten play as they identify more with kittens than pups.

32-year-old Tom, pictured above, split from fiancee Rachel due to his love of dressing up as Dalmatian Spot. He says: “You disappear and start chasing puppy toys. You go so deep into the head space, you crave it and want it. It’s just magic.”

Rachel, who is still friends with Tom and also pictured above with him, adds: “I didn’t understand it. I didn’t want to understand it then.”

Tom - who has spent the past 10 years playing puppy and splashed out more than €6,000 - proudly shows off his costume, together with hood and breathing tube. He tells the camera: “It is quite awkward to put on, you need a lot of talc.”

Tom has even taken to sleeping in a dog training crate - complete with a lining of puppy training pads in case he has a call of nature.

MirrorUK reports that as reigning Mr Puppy UK, Tom travels to Belgium to compete in Mr Puppy Euro with burly “handler” Colin. Tom admits: “Rachel thought I was becoming gay. A tiny bit of me regrets being a puppy because I lost what I had.”

Lady Exposes Man Who Is Pestering Her On Social Media Through Private Messages

The lady in question
According to twitter user @KingCvrmellv, a guy reached out to her via DM on Twitter to chat with her. She was asleep then and didn’t see the messages at all, so there was obviously no way she could reply. It later turned out that the man in question felt hurt out of impatience. He went berserk and started raining insults on the lady. Ignoring him and not sending even one reply made him go even crazier. He blocked her on his original account and created two more anonymous accounts to harass her and also threatened to beat her up.

Man Returns From Prison to Find Wife Pregnant and Living with Another Man (Photo)

Sitheni Sibanda

A man has been left in panic and shock after he returned home after eight years in prison to find his wife pregnant and living with another man. It wasn't just that, the wife shocked the man the more by disowning him for his criminal past.

The drama did not end there.

The ex-convict identified as Pritchard Ndlovu from Nkulumane, Zimbabwe has now been dragged to court by his estranged wife Sitheni Sibanda for disturbing her peace and romantic relationship with her new lover Innocent Masuku.

According to a report by B-Metro, at a Bulawayo Civil Court, Ndlovu claimed he was surprised to find his wife with a third child upon his release from prison sometime in November last year. Ndlovu got arrested in 2008 for illegal possession of copper and sentenced to eight years in jail.

Sibanda defended her infidelity saying it was out of desperation since there was no one to take care of her and their two children when Ndlovu was incarcerated.

“While Pritchard Ndlovu was in prison I met and started a romantic relationship with Innocent Masuku even though I had not formally informed the respondent that I intended to terminate our customary union and start a relationship with someone else. “This was largely because the children and I were near destitute as no one was looking after us since I was unemployed.

As a result of my relationship with Masuku, a child Bonginkosi Zinhle was born,” she said.

Revealing further what made her take the action, Sibanda said after the birth of the child she went to her in-laws and told them that she was no longer interested in their son but they refused to talk to her.

“I had moved on with Masuku but Ndlovu after his release approached me several times wanting to salvage the relationship. I am no longer interested in him. "On 10 April he came to where I now stay with Masuku and chased after him with an axe.

As a result of that incident, I am now leaving in fear and urgently need the court’s protection,”she said.

Responding, Ndlovu said his actions were out of anger after his wife allegedly betrayed his trust when he was imprisoned.

“When I went to her place of residence I was delivering food for the children. It was unfortunate that on the day in question I met Masuku and an altercation arose after I asked him why he impregnated my wife. When I took the axe my intention was not to strike him but to scare him off,” he said.

Ruling on the matter, the presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova ordered Ndlovu not to visit Sibanda at her place of residence or disturb her peace any more
