Man Who Murdered A Boy For Ritual Dies In Police Custody Under Controversially Circumstance

Hmmm...the evil that men do. The anguish of the parents of a four-year-old victim of ritual killing has been compounded by the death in police custody of one of his suspected murderers.

Police said the suspect, Fidelis Bossman, a Togolese, was taken ill and died during interrogation.

But the father of the boy, Johnson Habila Magaji, said he suspected the claim was a sinister attempt to pervert the course of justice.

The little boy, Psalm Johnson, was reported missing on October 15, 2016 from his parents residence at Kuruduma 2, Ugwan Hausawa in a rural suburb of Asokoro Extension in Abuja.

But a petty trader running a kiosk in the neighbourhood provided a crucial clue when he recalled seeing little Psalm in the company of Boniface Sani, a young man who lived with his parents in the same compound as the boy's parents.

Boniface acknowledged that little Psalm had been with him.

“He claimed however that when he wanted to visit his friend in another part of the area, and because it was about to rain at the time, he instructed the boy to go inside our compound”, the dad told PT.

But the trader, Mahmud Magaji, insisted he had seen Boniface walking away from the compound with the little boy. Under interrogation the following day at the A.Y.A Police Station, Boniface later confessed he had sold off little Psalm to Mr. Bossman for N100,000.

Eight days after little Psalm had gone missing, the Police were able to apprehend Mr. Bossman, who confirmed the transaction. He however revealed that both of them had immediately strangled the little boy to death, in a money-making ritual.

The suspects later led detectives to a riverside behind Asokoro village where the decomposed body of the boy was recovered.

But two days later on October 25, the case took a strange twist. According to boy's father, when he went to the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, to which the case had been transferred, an officer informed him that Mr. Bossman had died.

“At first, an officer told me that the Togolese had died under interrogation. Shortly after, another policeman said he had fallen sick and died in a hospital,” Mr. Johnson Magaji said.

He said he was later shown a picture said to be of the body of the suspect. “But I could not be sure whether the person in the picture was actually dead or posing dead to the camera,” he said.

When Premium Times visited the A.Y.A police Station where the case was first reported, the DPO, Aisha Yusuf, said she knew nothing about the Togolese. She said her officers only arrested Boniface before “I had to hand over the case to the CID, because we don’t handle cases like murder and abduction.”

At the FCT Police Command headquarters, an officer identified as Hassan Abdullahi also said he was not aware of the death of the Togolese. He claimed that the two suspects were still under custody and that investigation was still ongoing.

PT later spoke with the Abuja police command spokesman, AnjuGuri Mamza, on the conflicting claims about Mr. Bossman.

Mr. Mamza confirmed the suspect’s death.

“When we brought in the suspects, one of them, quite unfortunately the principal suspect, was complaining that he was sick. Our men, after discovering he was not feeling too fine, rushed him to the Police Hospital.

“We normally take suspects who fall ill to the Police Hospital. So, after proper examination by our medical doctor at the hospital, he gave recommendation that the suspect be taken to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital. We however lost him on the way. Autopsy has been taken on the suspect.”

Mr. Mamza said the body was in the morgue of the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, as nobody had yet come forward to claim it.

“Investigation is still ongoing. The remaining suspect will be charged to court at the completion of investigation”, he said.

The boy's family continue to grieve over the murder of their son. They said they hope the surviving suspect has his day in court and that their suspicion of an attempt to obstruct justice is unfounded.

Nigerian Soldiers Battling Boko Haram in Borno Reportedly Turn Against Themselves

File Photo

There is a complete breakdown of order and discipline at the 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army with soldiers deployed to rout out Boko Haram from the dreaded Sambisa Forest in Borno State turning against their officers and firing gunshots in all directions, according to Premium Times.

People familiar with the matter said the troops complained of mistreatment and then began to shoot indiscriminately, threatening to kill any officer who stands on their way.

“The brigade is based in Bama but is currently deployed at Bula Bello in Sambisa for Operation Rescue Final,” a military insider told a correspondent. “But suddenly soldiers started mutinying at 6AM today, firing in all directions and threatening to pull out of the operation.

“As some of them fire gunshots, some started preparing vehicles to move out of location. They also warned officers to steer clear or they would be shot dead. “They are saying their commanders have been treating them badly and telling them lies.

As I speak to you, the firing is still going on, and there is confusion everywhere.”

The commander of the Brigade, Col AG Laka, could not immediately be reached to comment on this story. The Nigerian Army is yet to issue a statement on the incident.

Exposed! Lagos MMM 'Billionaire' Who Lavished Cash on Wedding Got Brand New SUV from Guiders (Photos)

As apprehension over the fate of millions of participants in the Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox or MMM mounts in Nigeria after accounts were frozen, information emerged that some individuals might have become far richer than anyone can expect.

Some, it was learnt, have been made millionaires by the platform, but in the case of few others like one of MMM’s top men, Chuddy Ugorji, the gain may have run into billions.

Ugorji, who is the number one guider on the platform, has been the subject of different speculations, some of which claimed he might have made more than N1bn over the last one year. Social media pictures of him on luxury boat rides or at luxury spots might have a lot to do with his new found wealth.

On the MMM website, Ugorji shared his testimonies showing that he got millions of naira from people who had “provided help” to him. A screenshot even showed that Ugorji got up to N6m at a point.

There is no doubt that since becoming MMM’s top man, life has not been the same for the Imo State indigene, who describes himself as an online entrepreneur and businessman on his Facebook account.

Recently, photographs from his recent wedding, which took place at the Elshadai Covenant Church, Abule-Egba, Lagos, emerged online, given the first peek at the life of an individual, who leaves one in no doubt that the platform has been wonderful to him.

Ugorji’s wedding was attended by celebrities and other guiders of MMM. The apparently lavish wedding was MMM-themed with guests wearing MMM-crested sashes, while even the couple’s cake bore the MMM logo.

To cap the royalty of the wedding, entertainment at the reception was provided by the Limpopo crooner, KCee.

Ugorji, a son of a reverend, is a graduate of one of India’s distant learning universities, Karnataka State Open University, where he studied Business Administration.

It is not just the high-level position of Ugorji in MMM that came to light over the last one week, there are claims that he might have made over N1bn in the last one year from MMM. But he said that “(I) am not the administrator of MMM but one of the top guiders of this great community.”

As if to address the issue of how much he had made from the platform, he later states, “every guider in the MMM community has a limit to withdrawal and I have never made withdrawals above my limit.”

However, he maintained that the freeze on Mavro (MMM version of credits), was just a measure to prevent the actual collapse feared by participants. But it is unclear whether his statement has done much to restore confidence of Nigerians in the platform. Some say all the participants need to learn as lesson is to look at how the scheme fared in other countries.

An audio message circulated by one of the ‘guiders’ in the scheme known as Alpha Romeo, indicates that at least three million Nigerians are participating in the scheme, a fact that puts in focus how massive the impact of an eventual collapse would be to Nigerians.

Almost every social media space in Nigeria currently hosts arguments for and against MMM. Many genuinely believe that the freezing of accounts was a step in the right direction considering the massive cashing out (or ‘GHing’ in MMM-Speak) for the festive period, which might collapse the system.

But others have said the January reopening would not happen considering what happened in other countries such as South Africa and Zimbabwe, where the scheme has collapsed.

A South African, ThendoStivo, who shared his views on Facebook, said those expecting that the freeze on Mavros (MMM credits) would be lifted in January should probably not hold their breath.

‘’You should have learned from your brothers and sisters here in South Africa. Our old Mavro money is gone as we speak and MMM is at silence as we speak (sic) so watch out for this Ponzi scheme, I have also learned my lesson here in South Africa. But at least it is not too much money that I lost,” he posted on Facebook.

When MMM collapsed in South Africa, the administrators also blamed it on the panic orchestrated by untrusting media in the country. In fact, they accused the media of “persecuting” the platform.

Your Friend Is A Better Lover – Woman Runs Away With Husband’s Bestfriend After Having S*x With Him

A woman has abandoned her husband and ran away with the friend after he enjoyed him in bed. A cheating Zimbabwean woman has left her husband stunned after she had s*x with her husband’s best friend before eloping with him.

B-metro revealed that Thoko Maphosa allegedly began cheating on her husband Sibusiso Moyo with his friend Arnold Ndebele when he stopped giving her attention. Ndebele is the artistic director of a local dance group Sekunjalo Ma Africa.

Maphosa got to a point of making the affair public when she posted pictures of her and Ndebele all lovey dovey on Facebook where Moyo came across them. After Moyo came across the photos a few days after he had misunderstanding with the wife, things went out of hand.

“We had a misunderstanding when she got home late. She called another man when I asked her where she was coming from. Little did I know she was calling a man I trusted as my friend,” said Moyo.

A few days later, Maphosa told him she was visiting her sister in South Africa and that was the last he saw of her. He didn’t know that the wife had planned to run away with his best friend.

“I only discovered that she had moved on with my friend when she uploaded pictures on Facebook and changed her profile picture on whatsapp. In those pictures she’s in Arnold’s arms,” he added.

Speaking on the allegations, the man’s alleged runaway wife said: “I work with Ndebele he’s not my boyfriend. I left Moyo because he impregnated another woman and always told me that I’m not good enough so I don’t see a problem with moving on anyway.”

She even denied that they were married in the first place.

“He’s just claiming to be my husband. We just have kids together that’s all. He’s not even known in my family as umkhwenyana (son-in-law),” she said.
