A handsome Nigerian soldier has revealed how his family especially his mother is displeased with him for being in the north eastern part of the country for the past three years without telling any of them.

According to Daniel, his reason for doing that is because she (the mother) would consistently worry over his safety in the region as he also revealed that he’s preparing to go back home soon.

My mummy says am wicked and heartless all because for the past 3years have been in Northeast without telling any of them.

But i told her that i have my reasons of doing that because she might have sleepless night but i always let her knw dat am fine and strong. Finally i will be with you soon mummy, preparing to come back home.

New Born Baby Burnt To Death After Fire Outbreak At A Building In Bauchi (Photos)

This is very sad. A new born baby was burnt to death following a fire outbreak at a residential building in Bauchi state.

According to information gathered online, the parents of the baby did all they could to rescue the baby all to no avail as she was caught up in the outbreak before emergency officials could arrive.

Hawker Falls Off A Bridge In Lagos After Being Hit By A Commercial Bus (Photos)

A Road hawker was this evening hit by a Lagos colour LT Bus thus throwing the hawker, whose name was yet to be identified from the top of the Apongbon Bridge inward Eko bridge off the bridge.

Apart from a broken limb, the extent of his injury couldn’t be ascertained immediately but RRS officers who were at the scene of the incident before inviting emergency service providers requested the young man believed to be in his 20s to lay on the floor for LRU officials to arrive the scene.

While the RRS men guided the boy, LRU officials arrived the scene and promptly stretched out the man to hospital.

The Bus Driver has been arrested and the case is to be handed over to the closest police station in the area.

How We Butchered 400-Level UNIOSUN Student, Roasted His Head For Money Ritual – Suspects

Three ritual killers who allegedly abducted, killed and butchered a 400-level student of the Osun State University, Oluwafemi Shonibare, have been arrested by the police in the state.

The three suspects, whose names were given as 19-year-old Sakariyau Abdulrofiu, who is an Islamic scholar popularly called Alfa, 24-year-old Ibrahim Ayuba, and 18-year-old Yusuf Aliu, were arrested after the decomposing body of the victim was discovered behind Abdulrofiu’s house.

Shonibare was declared missing from his apartment outside the campus.

His corpse was found in a bush behind the Alfa’s house after nine days of searching.

The matter was reported to the police and operatives immediately arrested Abdulrofiu.

During interrogation, he confessed that he and the other suspects had killed Shonibare, cut off his head and roasted it as part of the money making rituals.

According to the report, Abdulrofiu further confessed that they hit the student with a pestle on the head and later butchered him.

He added that the deceased’s head was roasted but said that luck eventually ran out on them and they were apprehended by the police.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Commissioner of Police, CP Olufimihan Adeoye, said the victim was a 400-level Micro-Biology student of the University.

CP Adeoye said this while parading the suspects at the Command’s headquarters in Oshogbo, adding that they carried out the crime on June 26, 2017, at about 7:30 pm at Oke-Bale area of the state capital.

He said the suspects conspired and killed Shonibare by hitting him on the head with a pestle before cutting of his head, two wrists and palms which roasted in a clay pot while the victim’s remains were dumped in the bush.

According to him, friends of the victim reported him missing on June 27 at 7:45 pm while the information obtained from them led to the arrest of Abdulrofiu who is also an apprentice herbalist, as well as his two accomplices.

Robbers Seal 89-Year-Old Woman And Her Daughters Mouth With Super Glue In Edo (Photos)

Two suspects have been arrested by men of the Edo State Police Command for allegedly using super glue to seal the mouth of an 89 year woman, Imasogbonre Enahoro, to prevent her for shouting for help.

The suspects also allegedly glued the mouth of her daughter, Marylyn Ajibola, and proceeded to steal valuables and a Toyota Camry car from the victim’s’ residence at Igueben villagen,near Benin.

A third suspect is said to be on the run.

They allegedly stormed Madam Enahoro residence on November 20 and first tied up their victims.

But when mother and daughter kept shouting for help,the unwanted guests decided to use super glue to shut them up.

After searching the house and finding no money the robbers made away with a Toyota Camry car which they drove to Osun State.

Marylyn identified one of the suspects at the police headquarters as the person who slapped her mother and applied super glue to shut her mouth.

She said the incident happened at about 5pm and that it was her husband that eventually untied them on his return from work.

Kingsley, one of the suspects who claimed to be a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, said it was Tosin that brought the robbery plan.

“When we got to Mama’s place, she had no money to give to us. Two of us were outside and Tosin went inside. We found only N7,200 inside the car.

“I did not know that this Mama’s mouth was glued because I waited outside. We have not sold the car. Tosin said he wants to use the car but we told him there is no way we can stay with him in Osun State. I couldn’t stay in his father’s house without doing anything. The car is still in Osun State.”

Police Commissioner, Babatunde Kokumo, said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

Lagos State Government Bans Cart Pushers & Wheelbarrow Operators (See Why)

The Lagos State Government yesterday announced a total ban on the operations of cart pushers and wheel barrow operators in the state, saying that their activities were inimical to environmental cleanliness.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tunji Bello, the State Government said that with the flag off of the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI), the continuous activities of cart pushers will pose a threat to the success of the initiative.

Bello said that investigations had also revealed that the cart pushers are responsible for most of the illegal dumping of waste in canals and road medians at night which causes flooding, adding that aside constituting environmental nuisance, they were also traces of security threats.

“What the State Government has discovered is that these set of people use the night to perpetrate all sorts of dastardly acts.

They dump refuse indiscriminately on the median of major roads and highways. They also pose serious security threats because they use those carts to hide arms and ammunition and hide under the guise of carrying refuse to rob unsuspecting residents,” the SSG said.

He said that the state government has finalised plans to ensure that the CLI would cover every area of the state and ensure that refuse are well packed and collected, urging residents to desist from patronising them or risk prosecution.

“The State Government has declared zero tolerance for the activities of cart pushers and wheel barrow operators. Security agencies in the state have been directed to ensure that those found still operating are arrested and prosecuted according to the state environmental laws.

“The law also applies to residents who patronise cart pushers. It is an offence and the state government would not hesitate to enforce the law to put a stop to such practice,” Bello said.

Meanwhile, the actress talked about her past, and opened up on how she abused hard drugs like marijuana and codeine.

The actress made the disclosure at the 2017 edition of Success Story Africa, held at the TLC Auditorium, Lagos, on Sunday.

“You need to stop bad habits. I was involved in a lot of vices and it became worse last year,” she said at the event.

“I did drugs and I am not ashamed to say it because it’s now a thing of the past. They say codeine makes you high; I took a lot. I smoked a lot and I didn’t even know I looked horrible, because I was so skinny.

“If you came to my house last year, you would meet a lot of people and you wont want to leave because we smoked, gossiped about people and what have you.”

The actress also revealed that she once hawked plantain chips to help feed her family.

She said growing up was not easy for her because her family was not financially buoyant, although things worked out for them because they worked hard and were “spiritually buoyant”.

She also talked about the mistakes she has made in the entertainment industry and how she has not let the negativity shape her.

“I made a lot of mistakes when I began acting and that was because I did not have plans. I just wanted to be known.

“But, I now know that being popular isn’t the same thing as being successful. When I got into the industry and the fame became too much, I became irresponsible.

“I could not boast of N1 million in 2016. I was making money and I wanted to feel among. When one of our colleagues bought a car, it was trouble because we all strove to buy the same car or a bigger one.

“I had to change my circle for good and this change started in March 2017.”

Previously called Toyin Aimakhu, the actress changed her name to Toyin Abraham in December 2016.
