Range Rover Sport Climbs To Heaven's Gate In China (Photos)

The Heaven’s Gate is one of China’s most popular tourist attractions. It is built on the Tianmen Mountain. The Tianmen Mountain is 1518.6 meter high.

The Heaven’s Gate is seated atop this Mountain. It is built on a seventeen-century-old cave. A stairway, consisting of 999 steps of it leads to it.


Note that, the St Helena’s notorious Jacob’s Ladder has 'only' 699. Much of steps rises at 45 degrees.

Due to its height, it is always covered by mist. This makes it difficult to tell where it begins and where it ends.

To get to the Heaven’s Gate, the adventure begins with a ride in the world’s longest monorail Skyram. The ride spans 7.5 kilometres from the city Centre.

It is followed by a scary bus ride up the 11.3km Tianmen Mountain Road (referred to as the “Dragon Road”). It also has 99 hairpin bends. And this is where they convinced Ho-Pin Tung - a car race driver - to drive the new Range Rover Sport PHEV to.

During the ride, the Rover made a dizzying 99 turns and 999 daunting steps.

And did he succeed to reach the peak known as the “Heaven’s Gate”?

Yes, he did.

Indeed, cars are meant to drive on roads. Some are built to drive on treacherous ones. None, however, are meant to climb, yes climb, stairs, especially deadly steep stairs.

And Range as just proved to the world with the new Range Rover Sport PHEV can do both.

Popular Wrestler Accidentally Dies While Performing A Dangerous Wrestling Stunt (Video)

A video has shown how a Mexican wrestler died following a tragic accident which occurred when he attempted performing a dangerous stunt.

The video of the final moments prior to his death was captured and shared online. It shows the trained wrestler standing on the top wrestling ring rope while his opponent lay on the floor outside the ring.

He collapses after the stunt 

The wrestler then performed a front flip from the top rope with the aim of landing on his opponent but he miscalculated and landed on his opponent before falling, head first on the hard concrete floor.

When paramedics arrived, he was bleeding and they carried him away on a stretcher. He reportedly fractured his skull during the landing and later died in hospital.

World’s Tallest Hotel Opens In Dubai (See Photos)

The Gevora Hotel in Dubai is a 356 meter high hotel and currently holds the record as the tallest hotel with single building in the world.

The hotel is to be opened to guests today, February 12 and it is barely a metre taller than the previous tallest hotel, the 355m, 77-floor JW Marriott Marquis.

The Gevora Hotel is a 528-room hotel situated at 101 Sheikh Zayed Road, next the 333-metre Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, a previous holder of the record. The measurements are taken from ground level to the top of a hotel’s mast.

The Gevora is a gold-coloured 75-storey tower with hotel rooms all the way to the top. It will also have four restaurants, an open-air pool deck, a luxury spa on the 71st floor, plus a health club and Jacuzzi.

The Gevora’s first guests are expected on Monday, according to Emirati daily The National.

Dubai is also home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, which pierces the city skyline at 828 metres (half a mile) high.

Not only is Burj Khalifa the world’s tallest building, it has also broken two other impressive records: tallest structure, previously held by the KVLY-TV mast in Blanchard, North Dakota, and tallest free-standing structure, previously held by Toronto’s CN Tower.

The city-state, one of seven sheikhdoms that make up the energy-rich United Arab Emirates, aims to attract 20 million visitors annually by 2020 when it hosts the global trade fair Expo 2020.

The desert emirate country proudly boasts of opulent shopping malls, numerous luxury resorts and even an indoor ski resort with a lot of outdoor fun spots that make the country one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world.

A major transit hub situated on transcontinental air routes, Dubai airport was the world’s busiest for international passengers in 2017 for the fourth year running, with 88.2 million travellers.

‘We Won’t Kill You, We’ll Just Shoot Your Vagina’ – President Tells Feminists

During the address of a group of former communist rebels last Wednesday, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, reportedly told his soldiers to shoot female rebels (Feminists) directly in the vagina because without their genitals they are ‘useless.’

We ones brought the news that President Duterte once sparked controversy with the rape jokes he made about Miss Universe, telling his soldiers they had permission to rape up to three women during conflict without facing punishment.

Metro UK reported that the President criticized female rebels (Feminists) within the New People’s Army, and told his army to kill anyone in the organisation, male or female.

The Presidential Communications Office included the comment in the official transcript from the event but replaced the word “vagina” with a dash. According to the official transcript from the Wednesday event, the crowd did, in fact, laugh.

‘Tell the soldiers. There’s a new order coming from mayor. We won’t kill you. We will just shoot your vagina. If there are no vaginas, it would be useless.
“Why would you women join?

Some of you join the movement, even if you have your family. You can’t even return to your families for how many years. Christmas, New Year, your child’s birthday, your birthday. You won’t even show up. .

You gave birth to your children then you leave them behind. We have pills for free. Why would you give birth six, seven times and you’re an NPA? Then you’d go to war, you leave your family behind. I feel pity for the person.”

Duterte’s presidency has been defined by violence — and often violently misogynistic language.

Since he came to power on a promise to kill all the drug users and dealers in the country, thousands of Filipinos have been shot dead, prompting the International Criminal Court to open a preliminary examination.

Duterte regularly denigrates and threatens women, but when challenged, he insists it was all just a joke. Just last week, his spokesman, Harry Roque, accused women of “overreacting” to the president’s comments. “I mean, that’s funny. Come on. Just laugh,” Roque said.

Four Secondary school students die in road accident, just moments after filming themselves and uploading the video on Facebook

A very terrible incident happened last Friday in Uganda when four teenagers rammed into a trust and died, just moments after they filmed and uploaded a video of themselves on social media.

The Ugandan Police Division have since confirmed the incident, and identified the teens as students of Ndejje Senior Secondary School.

The accident occurred at Bajjo village along the Kampala-Gulu highway after their vehicle with registration number UAR 860W rammed into a stationery truck.

It was gathered that the deceased, who sat their national exams last November, were on their way to school to collect their results which were released by UNEB on February 7, 2018.

“We received the sad news with shock. We are trying to get in touch with the relatives and the police on what happened,” Dr Charles Kahigiriza, the school head teacher told the local media.

Charles Ssebambulidde, the Public Relations Officer at the Traffic Directorate in Kampala, identified the deceased as Vincent Male, Mark Ndugga and Isaac Sserwanja.

“Three students died on the spot while their colleagues identified as Timothy Nyogera was taken to Bombo military Hospital in critical condition. The preliminary investigation report points to speeding,” Ssebambulidde said.

Reports from the school indicate that Njogera later died in hospital.

Horror: Father Of Five Butchers Wife With Machete In Akwa Ibom (Graphic Photos)

It was pure panic that took over an Akwa Ibom town after a man killed his wife recently. The man, a vulcanizer identified as Nkere-Uta, allegedly slaughtered his wife, Bella with a machete in Mbiabam Ibiono Community, in Akwa Ibom State on Monday morning.

Local reports show that the deceased woman was a hard-working petty trader with five children and was said to be loved by those who knew her.


The reason for the man killing his wife is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

Well, Tboss in a recent chat made has revealed that she is not dating anyone in the entertainment indeustry and she at the same time talked about her life and her plans for the new year

She said:

“I like to keep certain things private and my love life or relationship falls into that category. However, the story that I am engaged to a musician or anyone else for that matter is just a rumour. I am not engaged to be married to anybody and if such happens, everyone will know. At present, I am only focused on my brand and how to make it better.”

She added:

“I was born in Bucharest, Romania, to a Romanian mother and a Nigerian father, who hails from Edo State. I have three siblings.

My father was an engineer and he was always moving from one state to another. Whenever there was a need to move, we had no choice but to go with him.

Though it was fun, the whole process of changing homes, schools and friends was quite hectic. We, however, adjusted easily. I was a very shy kid and a rebel, while my younger sister was an outgoing type.

Looking back, I will say that my childhood was quite interesting. There were some ugly days, but I still had fun growing up.

I went to primary school in Suleja, Niger State. For my post-elementary education, I attended Federal Government Girls’ College, Calabar.

I started a diploma programme in law, but later got a scholarship to study Political Science in Romania. I graduated with a First Class degree. I will not say I was the smartest, but I was very determined.

I had a lecturer who was racially prejudiced and he always made sure foreign students failed. This made it mandatory for me to do very well in my studies because I wanted to shame him.”

She was then asked on how she manages the criticism that she receives on a constant basis from fans and other people that don’t seem to like her.

She had this to say;

“I am not under any sort of pressure. I have always done things at my own pace, which is just fine by me. When it comes to criticism, assumption is the cheapest form of information. People will always have an opinion about everything and I’m not in the business of trying to convince people to think or say otherwise.”

On her current projects, she said;

“I got some endorsements and movie roles last year. I plan to do more movies this year, but I don’t want to reveal too much at the moment.

Nigerian Woman In Confused State After Her Boyfriend Gets 15 Years In Prison And Asks That She Wait For Him

A Nigerian woman has been left in a state of total confusion as she’s been put in a place to make life changing decision – according to the lady, her boyfriend has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in a foreign land and he’s asking that she wait for him.

The lady, who’s 29 now, met the said convict when she was much younger, during her IT days, after a while, he traveled abroad and she stopped hearing from him.

Later on, she got to hear that he was indicted – he was eventually sentenced to 15 years in prison and he is begging her to wait for him for 15 years after which he will return and pay her bride price.

She also said he has vehemently objected to her marrying another man, though he hasn’t married her traditionally, in court or in church.

He also gave her a second suggestion, which is to come abroad and visit him in prison so he can get her pregnant then she will birth his child.
