A suspect, simply identified as kelechi, 32,
has been arrested over alleged kidnap of an old-woman for rituals. He was
picked up on Sunday night at Mejindadi Street Ilorin, Kwara
State, according to a daily trust report. The paper gathered that the suspect kidnapped
the woman at Agbabiaka, Ago Market and kept her somewhere around Unity Road. He however met his Waterloo on Sunday night when he attempted to take the woman to
a witch doctor popularly known as Alfa Buaya.
Kelechi was nabbed by a surveillance team at
Ita Amodu community. It was gathered that the witch doctor who resides at
Agbo-Oba had asked Kelechi to bring a woman to complete some rituals.
Kelechi and his
accomplice are currently being detained at the Surulere B Division of the
Nigeria Police in Ilorin while arrangements are on to transfer the case to the
state police command
headquarters.
