The President of oil-rich country, Equatorial Guinea, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema, who has been in power for 36 years, says he will run for office again, the AFP news agency reports. The 73-year-old said on national radio yesterday evening that he had won the support of the ruling party to run for a new seven-year term in elections due next year, it reports.
Mr Obiang's Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea won 99 of 100 parliamentary seats in the 2008 general elections while he won the presidential poll a year later with more than 95% of the vote.
Why should one person even be in power for a whole 36 years when the country does not belong to him? Nawaaaaaoooo.
