The truth about blogging

Hello, I quickly want to share this with you. A colleague of mine sent me a mail telling me about how frustrated blogging has made him to be. With his explanations I realized that he has been given the wrong orientation about blogging.

So many bloggers have left the blogging world due to their urge for money. This has been the major problem bloggers are facing.

It is true that hard work without compensation leads to frustration but in the blogging field it does not work that way.  A house can not be built in one day, it is a gradual process.

Firstly, you construct the foundation, then arrange the blocks, then take it to the window level , Then to the lintel level and so on. So blogging follows the same steps.

You cant start blogging today and expect to earn good income from it. It is not possible. Though you can place an advert from an advertising site to your blog, but the possibility of generating good income from it is very low because most advertising agencies only uses the Pay Per Click method ( PPC  ). You cant generate income unless someone clicks on their link.

So tell me, How will someone click on your link when you don’t have a good page view. Statistically, only 5% or below of readers that view your blog a day will click your link. So it is impossible to generate income from it.

As a new blogger, take your mind away from google adsense because they have their way of frustrating you. According to their new rules your blog must be 6 month before the think of approving your blog. Though I don’t believe in that because I have seen 4 month old blog been approved by googleadsense.

So many bloggers felt when adsense accept them, they will begin to make good cash, sorry to dissapoint you, it doesn’t work that way.

Google adsense works with Pay Per Click method ( PPC ) and page impression. You can only generate good income when you have good page view. For an entertainment blog, at least 2,500 pageview a day, and for technology or agricultural blog, at lease 700 page view a day.

Note: Technology blog generates more income compared to entertainment blog and it is quite easy to be approved when you have a technology blog. Google adsense hardly accept an entertainment blog because most of the content posted on entertainment blogs are not unique and the niche has been crowded.

Advice: I would advise newbies that took entertainment as their niche to also have a technology or agricultural blog. It makes google adsense approval easy. After approval, link your adsense to your entertainment blog. That’s my little advice for you.

Never allow the mentality of making money out of blogging get into you because with that you will be easily frustrated. To be sincere with you it takes time. Just take your time to build your website, Promote your website on facebook and othersocial medias, get a facebook page or a facebook group, advertise your blog onnairaland. Take your time to increase your page view. Then I promise you, when adsense accept you, you will earn more money than what others have been earning for the past one year. I almost got frustrated because adsense refuse to accept me but until I realized that I could earn more even without adsense. I earn good cash on one of my blog www.justrythm.info without adsense. The blog has made me proud because I receive pay from artiste who want me to post their song on my blog.

Let me tell you the truth, if blogging is not your passion you will easily get frustrated. So if you know you don’t have passion for it please don’t just bother blogging.

Other ways of making money as a blogger

Can you write good articles? If yes, then so many blogs are looking for you so sign up with them. Check google for the list of blogs looking for you.

Selling of Ebooks: You can type a good article on how to make money online or some other things you are good at then sell it on your blog or through facebook page. This is another way of making money. That’s what I do.

Conclusion: Never have the mindset of earning money as soon as you start blogging. Blogging is a gradual process. You cant make good cash when you don’t have good pageview. Before thinking of making money, Work on your blog, write good articles, don’t do copy and paste, promote your website on facebook.
