A man has been caught on camera snatching a little girl off the street and then bundling her into the back of a car.
Photos have shown the truly horrifying moment a young girl was snatched off a street in broad daylight before being taken to a dingy alleyway and allegedly assaulted.
According to The Sun UK, the shocking footage was released by the FBI. It shows the girl getting bundled into a red SUV as she strolls down a suburban road in Calumet City near Chicago on December 20 last year.
The video shows a man loitering near the car as the schoolgirl walks down the pavement.
As she ambles past the giant 4×4, the attacker springs into action, effortlessly lifting her in the air and bundling her into the vehicle and speeding away.
After being driven to the alleyway she wriggled free and managed to flag down a passing vehicle.
The horrified driver called the police as she explained her harrowing ordeal.
Brian Protho, 38, of Chicago, was arrested on December 27th and charged with a count of kidnapping, the US Attorney’s Office said.
He remains in custody and will appear before a judge in February.
If convicted he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
