Enugu-based businessman, Charles Oyibo, is currently on the run after beating his wife, Angela, to death. It was learnt the beating took place on September 30, 2015, at the Aku area of Enugu State.
It was also gathered that on the fateful day, Charles pummeled his wife, Angela, over a yet to be ascertained issue, leaving her unconscious.
The woman was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, but she was not able to regain full consciousness, until she died on October 22.
According to Punch, the husband, Charles, ran away immediately his wife was confirmed dead.
Spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said that preliminary investigations revealed that the husband, Charles, was in the habit of beating his wife.
Amaraizu said the police had started hunting for the fugitive husband.
