Another Jungle Justice in Lagos as Angry Mob Burns Robbery Suspect to Death

The spokesman of the Lagos state police command, Dolapo Badmos, has disclosed that an angry mob has burnt a robbery suspect to death in the Satellite town area of Lagos on Monday.


According to TheCable, the incident occurred when the suspect, who the police shot in the leg after an operation, fell off from a motorcycle while escaping. She said the suspect and his gang members raided a Matrix Stores in Abule-Ado, Satellite Town, around 2:45pm on Monday.

"They robbed the owner of phones and other valuables but a patrol team attached to Satellite Police Division was quickly mobilised to the scene to engage the hoodlums.

"In the process, one of the robbers was shot in the leg and a double barrel gun with two unexpended cartridges and all the robbed items were recovered. "The wounded hoodlum allegedly fell off the motorcycle, while they were escaping and was burnt to death by angry mob before he could be rescued while others escaped," she said.

He said that effort was in progress to arrest other fleeing hoodlums.
