PDP forced Sheriff out of office, Appoints Ex-Governor Makarfi as Interim Chairman

Politicians and their use and dump tactics...so all these while that Governors Ayo Fayose and Nyesom Wike were pushing Ali-Modu Sheriff as Chairman of the party, they actually had other plans against him?

In a dramatic move in Port Harcourt today, the PDP sacked its national chairman, Modu Sheriff, and the party has gone ahead to appoint an interim executive led ex-governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi.

Former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi, was also appointed the interim secretary of the party.

But why did they do this to Sheriff?
Sources say the new caretaker committee will pilot the affairs of the party for three months, leading to a new convention that would be free of all the manipulations witnessed under Sheriff.

Meanwhile, the party’s scheduled national convention in Port Harcourt was cancelled, as a faction of the party conducted a parallel convention in Abuja same day.

“The convention is not holding. Our leaders have been meeting since early in the morning, and they finally resolved that the convention should be shelved until the court order issued is vacated," said a delegate.

While Sheriff was addressing the pressing and saying all delegates should go back to the states, the man did not know that they have already removed him from office as Chairman. #politics
