A man's regrettable action has prompted the indigenes of his village in Owerri West Local Government Area into action after he mistakenly killed his baby while beating his wife for not washing his cloths. It was gathered that as the man was bartering his wife, the woman carried her 3-month-old baby, thinking that at least this will subside her husband’s anger.
While the lady was evading another punch from the husband, the worst happened as the punch hit the baby's head, killing the child at the spot. This prompted the indigenes to alert the Vigilante Group who quickly swung into action and arrested the man.
According to Starttells, the man who was shedding tears after the result of his actions dawned on him, complained during interrogation that his wife never bothers to wash his clothes, never says the truth, and that she cannot be trusted.
