Police Arrest 2 Brothers Who Use Uber To Rape Women In Ogun State

Two brothers Paul Jibunor, 23, and Nkoenye Jibunor, 28, have been arrested by the Ogun state police command for serial rape and robbery.

Both men were arrested on the 31st of December 2017 following a report from one of the victim identified as Ijeoma.

Ijeoma, had reported the case at Ojodu Abiodun Division saying she boarded a taxi with 3 men in it on 29/12/17 from Fela shrine Oregun Lagos to Iwo street Ojodu Abiodun.

They had all agreed on a price only for her to be forcefully dragged down and raped by them. She alleged they also stole her belongings afterwards.

Ijeoma further said she was able to spot the men at Adebayo area in Ojodu and immediately reported the case.
The DPO Ojodu Abiodun Sp Bamidele Job immediately sent detectives to the area and the men were arrested. One of the however ran away. The two men arrested have since confessed to the crime.
Further questioning revealed that the men are infact serial rapists in that area. Their mode of operation was to pick up unsuspecting victims with uber cabs, take them to an isolated area then rape them in turn after which they steal their belongings.

Some properties such as necklace, phone a watch, belonging to the victim were recovered from them.
