Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has admitted that the club may be forced to sell Harry Kane to Real Madrid, if the striker pushes for the move.
Kane is a reported target for Real after an incredible 2017 for club and country.
“If you look at it from a the personal side, if the player asked to go like Modric or Bale, we would have to see but today that has not happened,” Pochettino told El Chiringuito de Jugones.
“I hope that Harry Kane will be here for many years and bring lots of goals and victories and win some titles, that’s what we want,
“Being responsible for a club like Tottenham, I would say if Real Madrid came, we would tell them we do not want to sell him. He would stay here and he would have to understand.
“Kane doesn’t have a price because we love him here. He is off the market.”
Kane was on the bench for the win over Swansea, but is set to start against West Ham at Wembley on Thursday.
Speaking after the clash, Pochettino added: “‘We need to consider we are playing after 48 hours against West Ham, and the decision thinking the best for the team, the best for the player, and we are going to play in 48 hours, to manage that is so important.”
