Buhari Spokesman Collected N50m From Arms Money? Read His Reaction

The special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has reacted to allegations that he collected N50 million from the money released by Office of the National Security Adviser.

Speaking on Wednesday, January 6 in a chat with Daily Independent, Adesina said the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) will respond to allegations made by Nduka Obaigbena, chairman of Thisday.

He said, “Please direct all questions to the Nigerian Guild of Editors. But I believe the body will soon issue a statement on what actually transpired.”

Obaigbena who is embroiled in the $2.1billion arms deal scandal had on Monday claimed that it was not only his company that collected funds from Dasuki. He said the NGE also received N50 million from the office of the national security adviser.

Femi Adesina was the president of the guild at the time the payment was allegedly made.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been investigating how the office of the NSA shared $2.1bn, funds meant for arms to fight Boko Haram, with many top politicians implicated.

Report has it that Obaigbena received at least N650m from Dasuki for questionable transactions.
