A man has made a shocking discovery while inspecting his house. On Tuesday, the owner of the house, while repairing the floor of a bedroom, found a skull and a skeleton, as well as a bra and shoes! The stunned man had just found the remains of a decomposed body in the floor of his house. According to DailySun ZA, locals claimed it was general knowledge that the former occupants were trafficking women from Mozambique to use as sex slaves in Mzansi. The house, in Block B near Malelane in Mpumalanga, is next door to that of Lindiwe Vuma, a councillor in the area.

“My neighbour came to tell me he had found something that looked like a corpse in the house,” she said. “I thought it might be a joke but I was shocked to find that it was the remains of what looked like a woman.”Residents who arrived at the scene claimed that for years, the former tenants brought women to the house at night who could be heard screaming into the early hours of the morning. Zanele Shabangu (43) said their neighbours were bad people who abused foreigners.

“Everyone knew what was happening in the house but we were all too afraid to report it to the police. This skeleton must be one of their victims who might have died while being abused,” she said. Patrick Mahlalela (55) said the women were severely beaten, locked in the house and sexually abused. “Some women would escape and we would give them food,” he said. “We spent sleepless nights listening to the women’s screams.”

According to Patrick, cops and soldiers often raided the house as they also knew what the occupants were up to but never found anything. The owner of the house said he bought the house after the owner died a few years ago. He was repairing the floor so an older relative could move in when he made the shocking discovery. 

“A tree root was growing from the floor in the bedroom and I decided to dig it out,” he said. “That’s when I made the terrifying discovery and called for help. It was too much for me to handle. I don’t know who did this. I had no idea I was living with a dead body.”

Police spokesman, Mzwandile Nyambi said they are investigating. “We suspect the body is that of a woman as a bra was found in the grave. “Community members who can help must please come forward.”
