The daughter of American Olympic sprinter, Tyson Gay has been shot dead in Kentucky.
15-year old Trinity Gay was shot during an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles outside a restaurant. She died at the hospital from injuries she sustained.
Tyson Gay has confirmed her passing today.
Police say a murder investigation as two people have already been detained following the shooting.
