A policeman attached to the Border Control Unit in Beitbridge in Zimbabwe reportedly hanged himself after his wife fell in love with his best friend. 32-year-old Donald Fambawapota had separated from his wife for eight months and they were living separately. In recent weeks, Fambawapota however, found out that his best friend and work-mate had moved in with his estranged wife. The policeman then confronted his wife and allegedly beat her up for dating his best friend. He then went to Police Station and made a report.
When the wife eventually went to report the matter at Beitbridge Police Station, she was shocked to find that she was in fact the one accused and was facing a $20 fine which she paid and left.
Fambawapota is alleged to have raided the two lovers again but this time, he was charged and he was summoned to appear in court, but he committed suicide before he was due to make his court appearance.
