The body of a young girl has washed up on a beach in Turkey as thousands of migrants continue to desperately make the dangerous journey to Europe. The girl, believed to be aged just five or six, was discovered lying lifeless on a rocky beach in Izmir earlier today. Poignant photographs showed her dusty purple trousers and small black trainers sticking out from beneath a small white sheet as her body was left alone on the deserted shore.
It comes less than three months after the image of three-year-old Aylan's body sparked a worldwide debate about the crisis, Daily Mail reports.
