Mrs Idongesit Ekpo, the wife of a tricycle rider was shot dead by a trigger happy police officer Aremu Musesiu while he attempted to extort bribe from the tricycle rider, Godwin Ekpo at the Obalagbe bus stop in Isheri Osun in Lagos state last year.
The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Owoseni Fatai, who made the presentation on behalf of the Inspector General, Mr. Solomon Arase, said the officer has already been dismissed and would face prosecution.
According to Owose “For now, it covers up to secondary school level and the Scholarship Trust Fund is expected to cover higher level education, subsequently,” said.
