Family Devastated After Learning Through Facebook That Their Son Who Was Due To Graduate From University Had Been Murdered

A family in Nakuru County, Kenya is in agony after learning via Facebook that their son who was to graduate from University this year had been murdered, Standard reports. According to the report, the man, identified as Shukri Mohammed, who had just completed his studies in Business Management Purchasing and Supplies at the Moi University, went missing on April 4. However, his mutilated body was found dumped in a River at Ol Donyo Sabuk, Thika County on April 8 and authorities did not inform the family. They were shocked to learn from Facebook when the news had gone viral that their son had been murdered.

The deceased boy’s brother, Hussein Mohammed said he got the news from his Facebook friends after his body had already been taken to City Mortuary. According to his mother, 24-year-old Mohammed left home after receiving a call from a friend who requested to meet him in Nakuru, but he never returned.

In a video by KTN News, the family said Mohammed's eyes had been gorged out, tongue cut off while his hands and legs had been tied with a rope.
