19-Year-Old Alleged Cult Leader Nabbed by Police in Delta State

The Police in Obiaruku, Delta State have arrested the leader of a notorious cult group allegedly terrorising the local government area.


Leadership reports that according to sources, the suspected cultist was the one who led the team of his deadly group that left many dead in recent times.


One of the residents of Okusu quarters, Obiaruku, the administrative headquarters of Ukwuani Local Government Area of the State, Mr. Vincent Ojolum who spoke exclusively to Leadership Weekend, gave the name of the cult leader as Ikechukwu Azubuike, a 19-year old.

However, in attempt to continue to speak, some group of middle aged men, came out and warned him never to disclose further information, in which case he made up his mind to comply with the directive and declined further comment.

Another resident, Mrs. Josephine Nnebuogor expressed joy that the leader of the cult terrorising the entire Obiaruku and its environs, has been arrested. He claimed that the alleged cult leader had tormented residents in Obiaruku community for a long time, before his arrest yesterday.

She commended the authorities that had arrested him, just as she prayed that more efforts should be put in motion to arrest all the cultists in Ukwuani Local Government as they are waxing stronger and initiating innocent ones every day, thereby making the area unsafe for habitation, she said.
