Eighteen persons have lost their lives in an accident that occurred around 5.45am this morning on Abuja-Lokoja road. The Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr Ogochukwu Ugboma who confirmed the accident, said 16 men and two women died in the mishap.
56 other persons, including a female child, sustained injuries.
The accident involved a Lagos bound luxury bus with registration number Lagos XT 286 LSD belonging to a popular transport company, First Tarzan. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
