Babatunde Fashola Embarrassed At APC Secretariat...See Details

The national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was for a moment struck by power outage on thursday, January 19.

This was when the national chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun and minister of power, works and housing, Babatunde Fashola were having a meeting.

According to Thisday, electricity to the ruling party’s building went off while the duo were meeting. Fashola, who arrived the APC headquarters a few minutes to 2pm, was denied electricity for the 30 minutes duration of his stay at the party’s secretariat, even as the stand-by power generator failed to come on until the minister left the place highly embarrassed.

The purpose of the meeting was not immediately known as at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, for the second time this week, there was total blackout across the country yesterday, January 19. This is as power distribution companies continue to reject significant megawatts of electricity allocated to them by Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
