The CJTF members killed by unknown gunmen 

A sad incident has claimed the lives of 10 Civilian Joint Task Force members who were, on Sunday, January 15, shot dead by unknown gunmen in Abaji village in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

It was gathered that unidentified gunmen, numbering about two, arrived at the scene on Bajaad motorcycle and opened fire on members of the CJTF who were having a meeting in Abaji, killing and injuring many in the process.

Confirming the incident, the Benue State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu said that the corpses of the deceased had been deposited in a mortuary at a public hospital. The identity of the gunmen is still unknown as no arrest has been made so far.

The PPRO said investigation was in progress to arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
