Watch the Moment a Footballer Got a Yellow Card for Proposing to His Girlfriend After He Scored a Goal (Video)

Scene of the proposal

After scoring a spectacular overhead goal for his team, NAPA Rovers, against opponents, Guam Shipyards, Ashton Surber, who plays in the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division in Guam, took off his jersey to reveal a white shirt with the printed message, “MARRY ME?”, a question directed to his girlfriend watching the game from the stands.

Then, as the referee, who doesn’t believe in love, showed him a yellow card for pulling off his jersey. Surber then got down on a knee, kissed two fingers and pointed them at somebody in the largely empty stands (his fiancee), La’Kiesha Pereda, who reportedly said 'Yes'.
