A 60-year-old pastor has married his 19-year-old girlfriend with the full support of his 44-year-old wife. And now his teen bride is pregnant. Thom Miller, a former mafia enforcer who found god in prison, is now building a new house in their hometown of Mansfield, Ohio, with one wing for each wife. According to Daily Mail, Belinda, 44, and Reba, 19, claim to both be perfectly happy with a life of polygamy, but Reverend Miller stresses that he is the only person in their relationship allowed to have more than one partner. While Rev. Miller finished building their new home, his wives takes turns in living with him, spending three nights each with him on rotation.
Rev. Miller runs a ministry which visits prisons and also has his own church in Mansfield, which is where he married 19-year-old Reba. Rev. Miller and Belinda had talked about polygamy after their wedding seven years ago, but the idea became reality when they met Reba Kerfoot, whom he had known since she was a child.
Ms Kerfoot said: “At first my family thought that what we were doing was not right. They didn’t think it was proper for me to be with a man that was already married. “But they started to come around and now they’re happy as they know I am happy. “One friend said it was weird for me to marry him when he has another wife but said she would support me no matter what. “Having to share him with another woman can be kind of upsetting at times. “But I try not to get jealous and when it’s not my time with Thom I just try to occupy myself by going out friends. “The baby will have two moms which I’m okay with.”
According to Rev. Miller: ‘The whole situation works for all three of us. “I am the only one who is allowed to have more than one partner and both my wives understand and appreciate that. “I think polygamy benefits everyone because my wives get to have a much larger family – it means they always have a friend with them. “There have been arguments in the past and at times there can be flares of jealousy but we manage to make it work. ‘Sexually I have no preference and look forward to my time alone with both wives.”
Mrs Miller said: “I wanted to have more of a family – having another lady in the house not only makes our family whole but individually it’s a beautiful thing because it’s like having a sister around. “Thom is the love of my life and Reba is the blessing of my life so it all works.”
However, not everyone is so thrilled with the arrangement. Rev. Miller admits that he does not have the full support of his congregation in Mansfield, but makes no secret of his alternative lifestyle. He said: “I don’t preach about polygamy but I feel it is a very Christian lifestyle. “I have no problem with homosexuals but I think it’s wrong that their marriage is now recognised by the state but my second marriage is not. “I’m going to try and fight the bigotry of that – this is America and my wives and I have the right to live anyway we please – providing we’re not hurting anybody.”
