A 27-year-old carpenter has angrily cut of his step son's fingers with a saw. The man inflicted deep cut on the hands of his 13-year-old son in Dutse, Abuja. He has been arrested by the police. It was gathered that the suspect was angry with the victim, a JSS 3 student, for being fond of playing computer games on a gadget the victim’s real father who lives in Australia bought for him. The step father had severally warned the child for always using time for domestic chores to play around.
According to a source, the step father of the boy had repeatedly subjected the boy to all manners of punishment. “The boy was playing football with his friends outside their compound when the man suddenly dragged him to the house and used his saw to cut his fingers,” the source added.
Neighbours who witnessed the incident reported him to the police which led to his arrest.
When contacted, the Dutsen Alhaji Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Aisha Yusuf, confirmed the incident, saying the case would be transferred to the State CID.
