A
Philadelphia man was shot and killed after posting what appeared to be roughly
$60,000 on Facebook. According to reports, 50-year-old Tony Harris posted
a picture on Facebook of his wife holding a handful of money with the
caption, “I misplaced $60,000. I hope my wife didn’t go shopping with it.”
After
the photo was posted, three masked men, believed to be between the ages of 17
and 19, held Harris and his wife at gunpoint in his home, demanding cash.
It is
still unknown if the intruders got the tip from the Facebook post, but the
invasion took place just a a week after Harris posted the photo on October 5,
leaving little about how the invaders were tipped off up to imagination.
Meanwhile,
Harris’ nephew, Anthony Fleming, says his uncle did not have
$60,000 but in fact, in the photo, his wife is holding a few $20 bills on
top of paper.
Investigators
are aware of the post, and are investigating the matter.
