Man Arrested And Charged For Jumping Over White House Fence

A man has been arrested after throwing his backpack and jumping over the White House fence, Secret Service officials say. The man, who has not been named, jumped over the fence around 11:44pm on Friday.


Barack Obama had returned from the Nuclear Security Summit more than four hours before the incident.

The man was immediately taken into custody without incident according to the Secret Service. He was transferred to the DC Metropolitan Police Department and has now been charged with unlawful entry. Regular security checks revealed nothing unusual and the White House resumed normal operations.
