Woman Shocks Social Media After She Offered To 'Sell Her Son' On Facebook For £5,800 Because He’s A Nuisance

A woman has shocked social media users after she offered to sell her own son. The woman, Brenda Raymundo,  offered to 'sell her son' on Facebook for £5,800 - claiming he is a nuisance and she can no longer manage the costs of keeping him. Raymundo, who is believed to be the child's mother, posted a number of photos of the boy, who is believed to be about five-years-old. Under one of the photos, she wrote: "What a nuisance this boy is, anybody want him?"

A little while later, she posted a photo with the caption: "15,000 pesos (£580). I can no longer manage with the costs." But she later corrected that message, posting: "150,000 pesos (£5,800). I made a mistake with my finger on the other photo, apologies. I need money now, I cannot manage anymore."

The woman left a number on the posts, which was traced to Nanacamilpa, in the south-eastern Mexican state of Tlaxcala. A local reporter called the number to check if the posts were real and claimed a woman answered the phone and confirmed the details of the sale of her son.

The journalist claimed the woman said: "I don’t want any tricks, this is a serious sale." The reporter also said during the conversation, they could hear children crying in the background. The two even arranged a meeting place and time for the collection of the child.

Police say they are investigating the case, but the child’s wellbeing is currently unclear according to local media.

No arrests have been made so far.
