Poor Cobbler and Wife Cry Out for Urgent Help as they Welcome Triplets in Uyo (Photos)

Mr. and Mrs. Idongesit Sunday Okon 

The couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Idongesit Sunday Okon of Obio Etoi, Uyo, just welcomed a set of triplets.

While Mr. Sunday is a petty shoe mender, his wife is a ful-time housewife.

The newborn babies 

The Akwa Ibom indegenes who already had two children wanted a child but God decided to bless them with triplets – 3 boys.

A social media user, Essien Ndueso took to his facebook page to appeal to the public for financial support for the family as they do not have the financial wherewithal to take care of the children.

Below are the exact words of Essien Ndueso:


"It is a time of mixed feelings for Mr. and Mrs. Idongesit Sunday Okon of Obio Etoi, Uyo who have just been blessed with a set of triplets. "While Sunday is a petty shoe mender, his wife Patience, is a full time house wife and it is obvious they only wanted a third child having already had two children.

I went to the DYME HOSPITAL & MATERNITY, Uyo, with my wife, shortly after seeing the message on this miracle babies because i saw it as an opportunity to draw more blessings from God. When I had my set of twins, it was very tasking, but God opened a door of hope for me and today I stand as a testimony of God's blessings.

I am moved in the spirit to pray for new openings for these ones. Even with a comfortable means of livelihood, it is not easy raising a baby, let alone three bouncing boys. That is why I echo the call by the godly medical doctor, Dr. Essiet Ime, who had already appealed that "In view of the unfavourable financial condition of the parents and the uncertain prognosis concerning the survival of the triplets, I am requesting for financial and material assistance to the couple."

These are very adorable Akwa Ibom children, and will add significantly to our votes in the nearest future election, let's assist them to live. When we give from what we have, it is not because we have in excess, rather it is a way of saying thank you to the greatest giver...after all what do we have that we where not given?
